From what I have read the Green Lanterns would win, and win easily. The Green lanterns win one on one as well. The problem is like Brainaic even in death of the host the Phoenix Force leaves behind a small trace in the host and it incubates until it is ready to hatch, so killing it is very unlikely. That said the Force exits the dead body leaving behind a trace as it does what the Lantern ring does and that is seeks out a new host worthy of its power...So in short the Green Lanterns one on one or the entire corps would win, but the Phoenix Force could never be killed. Now, like anything the power for the Green Lantern to win is within the wearer, some wearer could make a mistake and they would be beat down swiftly. The Phoenix force is powerful, but unlike the Green lanterns the Phoenix Force can't form items, weapons, or aids out of thin air. Jean Grey bring with her a very powerful mind attack, and interrupting the thought of a Green Lantern can cause him/her/item to lose its link with the ring, at which point the Green Lantern wearer would only be blessed with its natural abilities, in the case of Hal Jordan he would need a combat aircraft to be effective, and with John Stewart hand to hand combat or a sniper rifle...But the Phoenix Force under Jean Grey's command would give fits to a lot of Green Lanterns...Jean, Professor Xavier, or the Martian Man Hunter would be bad news for the Green Lanterns as they would better challenge a psychic probably solo, because the psychic could turn ring against ring...
