I think that proves my basic point. Classic version Spidey was unable to KO Luke there, and I don't think the webbing only being able to hold him for a few minutes constitutes a victory, personally.

Well, I can see your point. Spider-Man only used a small amount of webbing in any case though.

@jashro44 Haven't read it recently enough to cite specifics, but Ultimate Venom symbiote was really powerful and unlike its 616 counterpart does amp Peter a lot.

I don't remember the Venom symbiote ever really having issues with physical force (it drastically amps durability and healing), and it makes Peter bulletproof with no problems, and its only weakness when bonded to its proper host (Peter) is electricity.
