Dormammu says:

"That is true."

So does that mean he's man enough to take it?

Possibly, I dont know the level of Despero's strength and durability, so I wouldnt be able to decide the outcome.

Despro is more than a physical match for most of the JLA powerhouses, having beaten most of them in a single encounter. Therefore he is significantly stronger than Superman and also more durable. Then he also possesses immense telepathic powers.

Thor, while not having telepathic shields, has strong will power but he has been 'programmed' by Moondragon in the distant past, so Despro should be more than capable of controlling him.

Despro would appear to be stronger and more durable than Thor and that's before he employs his telepathy.

The only way I can see Thor winning this is through the use of his hammer, transporting Despro as Thor did with the Juggernaut, but this only has a slim chance to win as Despro only needs to concentrate his telepathic powers on Thor to forestall this attack and claim the win.

I still maintain that that wasn't a win. :-D

I agree though. Despero should win this.

Now we can wait for all the Thor fans to tell us he's so much more powerful than he was ever shown to be in the comics.

thor fan #1 reporting to duty...flight is a factor here.Thor can probably withstand the telepathic attacks, plus being this is mighty thor armed to the tooth,a close combat quarter would decide the victor. But i don't know despero that well so i can't say.
