Sounds powerful, is there a respect thread for his feats though? I'm curious.

@mysticmedivh: Should be somewhere, or any of his major battle threads. EGD is a faint notch below Azathoth, who is TOAA of the Demonbane series. Everything that is and shall be, is just Azathoth's dream. Including Nyarlathotep, Yog-Sothoth and the entirety of the Court of Azathoth. Which manifests as all the Great Old Ones and Outer Gods and basically everything you can think of from the Lovecraftian series.

The likes of Nya are made out to be omniversal, and EGD defeated her 400million times with a glare. Lesser forms of Demonbane, like Mars Demonbane, were literally galloping across multiverses while fighting. Ultimately that meant little since he could become as large as the omniverse if he wanted. Which is still nothing since he exists outside of it from all Creation and Chaos.

One of EGD's most ludicrous attacks involves unlocking the Shining Trapezohedron, which had been used to imprison the Court of Azathoth. With it he can literally summon infinite incarnations of himself from all infinite realities and infinite times, from every infinite moment. So basically like an omniverse of Demonbane's being summoned all at once to converge on a single target.

Like this he uses an attack called Lemuria Impact Ain Soph Aur, in which case all of these infinite infinite EGD attack all at once with the Lemuria Impact. The Lemuria Impact was literally the 2nd ability Demonbane unlocked near the beginning and is an attack that traps the target in a field and annihilates them by limitless force of infinite heat, infinite gravity and infinite mass. Essentially it's an attack of total annihilation and is capable of destroying a universe. And this was at Demonbane's base levels, long before Elder God status.

So the variation with Ain Soph Aur is basically InfinityXInfinity of that, but leagues more powerful. It's almost silly really since the Shining Trapezohedron is already capable of wiping out multiverses with just a swing and can erase targets from existence on contact. When Demonbane and Therion clashed with each of theirs, infinite universes were created/destroyed as a side effect, which had no effect on Nyarlathotep who walked across it all unconcerned.

Of course that got turned around when Demonbane absorbed the power of both Shining Trapezohedra and spanked her with it. Demonbane is literally a walking plot-device of ridiculous proportions, which fits with the very title being "Deus Machina Demonbane"

Demonbane should win.

Living tribunal official databook puts him at a higher status then the entire demonbane verse Fully omnipresent+Nigh-Omniscient+Nigh-Omnipotent the only thing LT has to do is bust his entire verse as Lat held 2 Megaverse beings (Brothers yin-yang) and even shut down the IG which was universe level at best you seriously wank the demonbane verse....

What feats does Demonbane even have?

@princearagorn1: Yes, but I'd like more quantifiable explanations so that somebody who hasn't read Lovecraft's works might be able to understand the feats.

Nyarlathotep is a being that creates multiverse(s), it's constantly surrounded by birth and death of infinite universes. Demonbane killed her - with a glare.

Nyarl is just a messenger for the old ones - that's how powerful they are. I'm not an expert on lovecraft either, so maybe someone else can clarify it better.

@princearagorn1: Not sure if that is necessarily well above the LT's class as is being implied here. Eternity is multiversal in power, and IG users could dismiss him and humiliate him with a click of their fingers. The Living Tribunal could negate the powers of the Infinity Gauntlet. The Tribunal should be at least comparable.

I am japanese and have played/read all series, even D.Y.N Freaks. but I must admit that Demonbane is highly overrated.

In D.Y.N Freaks,Avatar of nyarlathotep is very weak jobber, and It was implied that infinite universe (not megaverse,omniverse) and Outer Gods is destroyed by fallen Demonbane who is Antimonitor level.

Actually, living tribunal couldn't take away the IG without destroying the reality - if adam wanted to fight him.

PS: Why demonbane sealed all Evil God is only by PIS, power of plot. If Demonbane is stronger than Living Tribunal, Cosmic Armor Superman is far stronger than TOAA, because in Morrison's view, Story of Superman is far greater than Comic Book and even author.

One could mistakenly believe Yog-Sothoth to be TOAA if it weren't for the fact that he, Nya and the rest, are nothing more than part of Azathoth's dream. And while Nya may be sometimes referred to as a messenger for the Outer Gods, that doesn't make her lower on the totem pole. She just likes to be more active and direct, whereas Yog just doesn't seem to give a F**k. Maybe he picked that up from Azathoth.
