 I dunno Dale does have an impressive gun collection. If I remember correctly bobby does have deadly aim, if im not mistaken isn't he the best shot in texas after that shooting tournament. So if Mr. J has no weapons I don't see what he can do against a crack shot like bobby hill. He could just pick him off from a mile away like that dude did in the recent episode of bones. A crazy genius is no match for an unseen sniper.

Bobby has never shot a human being before and will not likely be able to do so. Joker is completely willing to kill a kid by taking his gun and beating him to death with it.

Time and time again bobby has proven one thing, he has an iron will. When the moment calls for it bobby has shown balls, grit, and courage. Im sure if his family was on the line he would pop joker in the head in an instant. Plus If a legendary war hero like Cotton hill couldn't break him (he killed fifty men) than I doubt the joker can.
