LOL! I'm sorry I HAD to bump this! You can't punch a ghost. And destroying the house will not stop the curse. All that will do is spread it. Effectively killing an uncountable number of people. The Grudge also wont attack Superman on a physical level. It will kill him on a spiritual one. Where his durability and powers mean absolutely nothing. And before you say: "well Superman can just fly into space and be done with it!" lol nope. The moment he gets into range of that house. He is cursed forever. The Grudge will have already put him into a pocket dimension (Limbo) where he is completely defenseless. Superman dies here. He can't fight a curse. Especially one like this.

There is literally nothing you can do to get rid of the Grudge. Nothing. As a curse it will always be there. Watch Grudge 3. Never ending!

@darthaznable: Pretty much. Even when the victim thinks they've made it. They are pretty much already dead. I remember in one of the Ju-On movies. She made a pocket dimension that this one person lived a happy life for 10 whole years in. But once she was lead back to the house. She had realized she had never even left it. For those 10 years she was still there. Something like that is going to happen to Superman. And he will eventually die. Like you said. There is absolutely nothing he can do to stop it.

Strange can unhex the curse. So can ZZ.

@mee09: sorry I had to bump this but Im not sure the Grudge can hurt him, as I read Superman is invulnerable to spiritual attacks as well. Superman would just suffer the curse forever but then again Superman has super intelligence he might find a way. And Superman could just use Toequasm Rao to Astral project and battle the Grudge on the Astral plane or spritually and put an end to the Grudge once and for all.

@thetoad_004: your making up nonsense, the grudge has never time traveled, how the hell does Kayako know anything about Superman and his weakness. It's always kryptonite people bring up because they know they can't kill Superman in a fair fight, or any other way. The Grudge is not hurting Superman spiritually or physically as he is invulnerable to anything but Kryptonite, Red Sun radiation, and magic, but he's still durable against magical attacks.

Durability doesn't apply to hax based attacks.

Also Ali vs Superman obviously isn't canon to New 52 Superman so no idea why that's even coming up.

This is why horror movie characters should never be used in battles ever Grudge only kills humans she never killed anyone with the strength, speed, and durability of Superman, just because she kills mundane humans who you may know can be killed by conventional means like shooting them in the head or cut their throats, superman laughs at everything that would kill a regular normal nothing special human, just because a little girl got dragged into her hoodie doesn't mean anything to someone who is FTL and can tag the Flash who could out-speed some featless ghost girl, Superman can easily dodge anything the Grudge Girl throws at him. she never i repeat never kill anyone other than humans what's stopping Superman from throwing the house that she resides into the sun killing her instantly because she is tied to the house. until she kills anyone as strong or as fast as Superman at best it would end up being a stalemate because there is literally nothing the Grudge can do to kill Superman and Superman can't kill a ghost.

In her films she was shown to be a reality warper, time traveling feats, Such as being in the past and future in the same time, meta human strength etc. Being cursed by her gives Kayako a huge edge. And where in the ju-on or grudge films mentioned, getting rid of her house can kill her. Jesus Christ shes already dead 🤦🏻‍♂️ and also they burn her house down in first grudge movie. She still came back lol. And she is no longer a physical being. She is spiritual. Last time I checked spirits can instantly in the physical or spiritual plane. Her curse is bonded with his soul meaning he can never escape her until he is dead. And she can appear when he would at least expect it. Sorry but Supes is not winning this fight.

-Has metahuman strength when manifested as a physical being

-Semi-omnipresent depending on who is cursed, she can be anywhere in the globe simultaneously (ie: Japan and U.S at one given time... In the Ju-On Series, she is haunting multiple people all at once in different time lines from present to past to future)

Kayako unlike Valak, doesn't seem to have a domain that she is limited to reside. She can exist in the astral plane, 3rd dimensional plane and so on depending on where her target tries to hide.

If anything, she would have the reality warping powers similar to Freddy Kruger without the dream. Kayako is not even a human soul but a manifestation of endless pain and hatred. That "emotion" takes the appearance of the entire Saeki family. So, the Grudge is Kayako, Takeo, Toshio and the Cat. The Grudge works to lure the victim in by the scouter Toshio and the Cat While Kayako chases after the victim to force them to feel her pain. When she catches them, she sends to Limbo where Takeo murders their soul, and then Kayako absorbs them into her creating a new Grudge that continuously spreads out to lure other victims for the Grudge to absorb (ie: Ju-On: White ghost and Black ghost who are victims of the Grudge)

Kayako on the other hand, is non-linear with time and not locked in a specific time line.

During the 1st Ju-On movie, Kayako hunts down a young highschool girl in the present year of 2000.* Kayako and Family died a couple years before this time. As she hunts down the highschool girl who's father died before she was born, Kayako travels back into the early 1980's and begins to hunt down the girl's father. Kayako kills the father in the 1980's while at the same time is on the process of absorbing the girl from the year 2000. As the girl is about to die, she sees her father who is tormented by the Grudge, instantly knowing that her father died because of Kayako from the past despite the fact that Kayako herself was killed in the late 1990's.

During the rest of the 13 movies and series, Kayako and Family does their time-traveling multiple times throughout the series.

*Ju-On plays in a backwards sequence from end to beginning unlike the American Grudge Movie where it plays from beginning to end. That said, one watching the Jo-On series would understand that Kayako is cursing people from multiple timelines and compressing those timelines in singular moments.

In conclusion to this, the Grudge when confronted by Valek, will fight Valek in the present while at the same time, travel back in time to the origin of Valek to keep her contained the time Valek was subdued in hell.

Clark can't hurt Kayako

Freddy Krueger doesn't warp reality he just has the ability to invade other people dreams given by the weak dream demons and since you're bringing up Ali i could bring up Cosmic Armor Superman pr even Pre-Crisis Superman who would not only oneshot Kayako but also the entire Horror movie verse with both hands tied behind his back, It's a stalemate because Superman has FTL Reaction time kayako is too slow to tag Superman.

Freddy has shown reality warping feats inside of his dream world countless times in his films. And really the thought robot? Who technically is not THE Superman aka Clark Clent. You missed the key points of both of the comments and feats I posted. So this leaves pre crisis vs kayako. How can you hurt a being who is already dead lol🤦🏻‍♂️. Pre crisis can only hurt Kayako on a physical level. Which will really do nothing at all. Unless he is Omnipotent it’s gonna be hard for him to get rid or put her away. She can also go back in time where Kal was a baby and stab him with kryptonite.

Pre-crisis Superman is the most powerful Superman ever, Superman wouldn't even register Kayako as a threat, we are talking about a guy who sneezes solar system away said Superman who pulled planets via chains Pre-Crisis superman can go back in time and kill Kayako'a mother erasing Kayako from existance. or even Kayako herself when she's a baby, or just call Constantine saying hey yeah there's this weak ghost girl annoying me can you do something about this Constantine "I Got this just give me a pack of cigs and her location and i will decimate this Ghost Girl no problem. No i'm just referring to the post saying Pre-Crisis Superman would lose i know this is New 52, this would just end up being a stalemate because there's literally nothing Kayako can do to kill Superman but same goes with Superman since she's already dead

Lol I can say the same for Kayako using her ability to time travel to kill clerk when he is still in the womb too or kill him when he reached earth as a baby with kryptonite while at the same distracting him while he’s time traveling back to try to kill Kayako. Also she can make clones of her self so he would be dealing with multiple Kayakos at once. Remember she can appear anywhere instantly from out from his hair (shown in the first film when the girl was taking a shower) or from the inside of the shadows of his cape and drag him to another dimension which is surrounded by kryptonite if she wanted too lol. The planets and so called galaxies. lol nothing physical can not hurt a being who can be anywhere in the astral plane at any given time lol and who can reality warp lol. Supes has no chance at all. Also why are putting another character against her. It’s Kayako vs Supes not Kayako vs Supes and Constantine lol
