i can see avengers winning after a hard fight and casualties (Ms marvel and thor are the only survivors)

@SoA: I can see why you wouldn't think that most of the avengers wouldn't survive this battle, but why not She-Hulk?

Serious question here: how many fights has Steppenwolf been in?

I know he fought Highfather (got killed - literally), Superman (his axe did jack squat), and the Flash (actually did really well here). I'm talking Post-Crisis, of course.

@kadeem: she mught make it due to her healing factor but against the furies who attack as a group i can see her putting one down before being overwhelmed .

Their fire power is pretty great. Then there's Iron Man who's speed is pretty intense. Speed+Fire power = Badassery all around.

Steppenwolf may have got an upgrade recently but until we know if thats true as far as I am aware he only ever had above average stats. What the new gods where to the rest of the universe was poorly out fleshed after their series ended so Thor would probably solo with ease.

@nickthedevil: That's a pretty good point point, but being new gods I think it would take many blasts from Tony to bring the furies down. I could also see it being especially challenging for the Avengers if Bloody Mary gains control of one of them.

@Dextersinister: They're IMO Kirby's greatest creation. Not everything needs to be spelled out for a book to be enjoyable or a character to be good.

But I will concede that their powers and powerlevels are vague.
