Would the The Avengers (movie) be able to defeat the Green Lantern (movie). By the way I haven't seen the Green Lantern Movie so if this is spite, I didn't mean it :)

Who wins and why?

The Avengers movie hands down. It has a better story, good writers/directors/producers, and the actors are assured in the roles as heroes and villains. (exempting Bruce Banner since Mark Ruffalo first time being Bruce).

How do movies fight?

Wait... who's included from the Green Lantern film? Is it just Hal? Is it the entire GL Corps? Parallax?

Green Lantern stomps if it's Parallax or the GL Corps. If it's just Hal, then Avengers win.

And it depends on who in the GL Movie will be fighting. Will it be all of the GL corps (i.e. Sinestro, Hal, Guardians of the universe, Tomar Re, Kilowag). or will it be the Paralax entity that posed as the main villain for the GL movie?

@mavfan626: You should probably clarify that in the OP. Avengers can defeat Hal, he never showed anything remotely close to what is displayed in the comics.

@mavfan626: That clears things up. Against all 6 members of the Avengers Movie team-linup, Hal wouldn't stand a chance. He would probably win only against Hawkeye and Black widow. Iron man, hulk, thor and captain america are totally way out of his power level. They'd beat Hal easy.

Really!? wow, just wow. I never seen the movie but Green Lantern (comic) alone would give these Avengers trouble but I didn't think the movie version would be that weak. @Deranged Midget said:

Hmm.. okay. Well I never thought he would displayed to be that weak. I mean would Thor alone be a challenge for him?

I think Thor alone can handle this Hal Jordan version..

Unfortunately, Hal wasn't at his full capacity of strength in will like he is now in the comic books. Multiple times he even doubted being a hero, which occurs frequently in the comics, but not enough to make him want to quit in his current run as a GL. Also, most of the time, Hal in the movie was still learning how to use his abilities. It wasn't until much later in the film when he was fighting parallax that actually gave him an opportunity to let loose.

Green Lantern is going to be quitting early if that's how it goes down.

Agreed. It'd be a last movie standing game. The first one that runs out of throwing money is the looser. Green Lantern didn't make enough throwing money to throw at the Avengers, so it'd loose naturally. Unlike the Avengers which made plenty of throwing money.

Joking aside Green Lantern Movie Hal was extremly weak in my opinion.

I beleive Movie Avengers can take him.

Thor solos, if its just Hal.
