Can movie spider-man take captain america? Who wins and why?

Hmm, the area might be a little too open for Peter to take an advantage with his webbing as he did in the film. He utilized his surroundings to his advantage as well as a way to best accent his speed and agility. He lacks that luxury here and in comparison to comic-book Peter, his strength feats aren't up to par. Cap has had a pretty good track record against Peter, studying him enough to gauge his fighting style and movement. I'm not sure I can see Peter disarming Cap here and with the starting distance, he'd have to act fast to gain the upper hand.

comic book charecters usually stomp movie charecters since the movie version is usually depowered and doesnt have enough feats.

@Eternal19: In most cases yes, the lack of feats accounts for the loss of a film character compared to a comic character. But in this case, Peter is physically superior to Cap in almost every way.

This is.. This is actually a really interesting battle thread, arguments could easily be made for both.. I'm still not sure.

In my opinion Cap wins. Spider-man is physically superior in quite a few ways however the Spider-man in ASM was still a kid. A very strong kid but still a kid. Pete had no real experience using his powers nor did he have any real combat training. Because of this he tended to tank hits and try and deal them back. In his fight with the lizard he held onto his tail and basically let him slam him into walls in an attempt to subdue him. This will work in Caps favor as Spider-man will most likely try to tank hits allowing Cap to land blows that he wouldn't normally be able. I say Cap for the majority due to Spider-man's inexperience although Spider-man could take a few if he goes all Spidery like he did with his webbing on the lizard.

Peter Still wins...while he doesn't have the same kind of strength feats as he does in the Raimi Movies...His feats of Speed and Agility are on a higher level...Cap is going to have a lot of trouble landing a single blow. Also, since TAS Peter lives ina universe with no Captain America...He won't be affected by the hero worship that Comic Pete struggles with when he goes up against Cap.

Before I read the comment I thought that was a tie with the Spiderman Movie lol. The familiar subway train, and that gym reminded me of the same gym from ASM where Peter saw the luchadore mask lol. Anyways I think Movie Cap or Comic Cap could win.

Spider-man's animal instincts kick in and he creates a lair inside the building, offspring soldiers and all. It is now a dungeon-crawler RPG starring Cap

This spiderman had ONE fight. Cap has this with more experience. Doesn't really mean he wins but, andrew doesn't show any open area one on one fight feats.

Honestly I can't see Cap losing, but once ASM2 comes out it might be interesting to reopen this.

Comic Cap beats Movie Spidey for the majority

I don't think he wrecks. Steve has a pretty big edge in experience. Movie spider-man hasn't fought someone as skilled as Steve where as Steve has fought comic spider-man. Also keep in mind morals are on so spider-man will hold back.

I can see it going either way now.

616 Captain America would beat Movie Spider-Man handily.

movie spiderman was better than the comic version. the guy dodged lightning and tanked untold voltage of electricity. he even saved several people before they could get electrocuted. the comic spiderman never came close to any kind of reaction time like that. the movie version easily dispatched all of his foes. i didn't get a sense that he was in danger in any time during that movie. his only dilema was saving the civillians around him. the movie version destroys caps. heck, in asm2 he saved a cop from a car that was accidently tossed by electro's lightning. he had to actually be able to support the car's weight and stop it's forward momentum. he did that without breaking a sweat or even being moved by the car.

nah, near light speed is correct. he was able to react to lightning in one scene. he actually saved several people before they could be electrocuted. his reaction time ane awareness was better than anything his comic book counterpart has ever shown.

But he said light which is over 186,000 miles per second, he can react to lightning which is still impressive though.

@christianrapper: @leo-343: @leonkarlen123: christian is correct and reacting to the electric attacks arent what im talking about as that is impossibe to know how fast electro shoots them at, however he reacted before the electricity ran up the metal railing and when electricty passes through a metal conductor it moves at near light speeds, and spidey reacted before the electricty ran up the whole pole, which is actually better than anything comic spidey has ever shown even faster reactions than comic superman and flash in the new52

@frozen: no actually dont try and use that logic to cap beacuse we have no idea how fast them lasers were fired at however we have a set speed on how fast electricty runs through a metal conductor

@christianrapper: ASM Peter does have better reaction timing, but you're mistaken if you think that automatically makes him better than his 616 counter part.

Also, light moves at 180,000 miles per second. I think you accidently made a typo.
