Highfather is at the very minimum just as strong as Darkseid. He's much older too:

Darkseid couldn't defeat him when they first fought and Darkseid's Omega Beams were meant to kill since they blew up a planet. Highfather most likely was holding back becasue he didn't want to kill his former friend. Nothing indicates that he can't.

As Highfather points out, they are the new Gods and they can do anything, mold everything anew.

Highfather's staff allows him to summon the "The Source" energy. Near Omnipotent too. Just like Darkseid, he lives outside the Multiverse since Darkseid invaded both Earth-Prime and Earth 2...most probably the Crime Syndicate's Earth 3 too.

He's at the very minimum equal to Darkseid but as been consistently wrote as stronger than him due to his ability to summon the source's energy

@gabranth: new 52 Highfather is no older than Darkseid. also their first battle resulted in at best a stalemate, but Highfather has said that he has been defeated by Darkseid in the past.....
