Only Alan and Courtney matter on the JSA team.

I still think Thanos takes it after a bloody hard fight.

Certain assemblages of the JSA can beat Thanos. This is not one of them.

Thanos has literally pimp smacked Hulk and Drax (without the gauntlet) like it was nothing. Atom smasher is big but just makes him a easy target, Shazam (captain marvel) might be a little bit of trouble but he cant be on the same level as hulk or drax.... unless Alan Scott Lantern has some crazy feats I don't know about Thanos takes this easy

Just to name a few

1. sealed a multiversal rift that threatened all existence
2. casually altered the rate of time on a populated planet that's existence threatened that of earth so that every life on it had lived in minutes and the race became extinct and he could destroy it in no time without harming anyone.
3. defeated (solo) a god who had absorbed the powers of Blue Devil, Citizen Steel, Cyclone, Doctor Fate (Kent V. Nelson), Hourman (Richard Tyler), Jay Garrick, Jeffrey Graves, Jesse Chambers, King Chimera, Lightning, Obsidian, Power Girl, Sonia Sato, Stargirl, Superman and Tomcat
4. fought and matched Mordru a couple of times (who is just below Odin level)

That is possible yes. hadn't considered that. If he does then of course he's at the power level where he soloed Earth with consummate ease.

@beatboks1: wasnt aware of Alan scott, kind of strange because he isn't a official corps lantern and he sort of flies solo. If he is a powerhouse as such it is a close fight but Thanos has literally whipped his boots with the populations of planets just to try and please death...

Alan is definitely a powerhouse when he wants to be.

No he's not a corps member but his power stems from an action of the Guardians very early in time. When they decided to become resposible for guarding the universe to make amends for the fellow race member unleashing evil they collected all the magic in the universe and put it into the heart of a star. The good magic that was a part of that broke itself away and was the meteor that fell to earth to be made into Alan's lantern (after it had first been forged into aladin's lamp). Eventually the bad magic came a knocking and he absorbed that too. So basically he is all the magic that was present in the universe at one point in time.

The star rod that Courtney wields is also pretty OP, considering it has tanked the blasts of guys who shattered Dr fate's and Alan's shields and such.

@kangconquers: i know that Thanos is a complete tank and a lot of that can be attributed to writers bulking him up, I want the MCU to start beefing him up.... one can only sit in a chair and mean mug for so long until you actually have to prove you are a badass

I imagine in Avengers 3 we'll see him one shot punch Hulk in a "holy shit" moment.

That would be so fuking epic. Thanos one shotting the hulk like the hulk one shotted the chituri leviathin would make me lol.

@those_eyes: I don't like being an unreasonable fanboy for any character and I want to do more Alan Scott old school research because I was pretty meh on the idea of the new 52 making him gay for no reason i guess...

But Thanos is that boss, if Avengers 3 can be a (loose) version of the infinity gauntlet with the Avengers and Guardians teaming up, it would be one of the most insane things I have ever seen on a movie screen

From JLA version 1 issue 74 (obviously Silver age) The original starman's rod amps a cosmic threat to be a multiversal threat.

From All Star Comics issues 60 and 61. Vulcan the "son of fire" who was able to shatter Alan Scot's constructs, break Classic Fate's spells and put him in a coma couldn't break the shields of the star rod wielded by Sylverster Pemberton (original Star Spangled Kid) and was one shotted by his energy blasts.
