Thanos vs Hyperion
Valkaad says:
"Thanos. He is just too powerful. Even before he was resurrected by death he was beyond what Hyperion coulc handle."
Really? Mind going a little bit more in depth? I thought Thanos and Hyperion were on par ( I was still voting for Thanos though)
Thanos possessed a large number of powers that to all appearances also made him more powerful than the Silver Surfer.
In several appearances in the Silver Surfer comic (where he defeated the Surfer) and a variety of other appearances, notably in the Infinity Watch (were he battled Odin in Asgard), the true extent of his powers were shown.
He possesses strength significantly greater than that of Thor (in the past before his Death resurrection enhancements made him even stronger he could fight Thor and the Thing in hand to hand combat at the same time).
His durability is greater than the Hulks as witnessed by the fact that he can withstand blows from Mjolnir relatively unharmed. He has survived energy blasts from Odin and got back to his feet.
His endurance has let him continue fighting after several days of constant high end output.
Although massivley superfast, his enhanced reflexes and agility make him a match here with Thor.
He can project a variety of energies but appears to be able to project cosmic energy like the Surfer. Although he lacks the ability to manipulate cosmic energy for the wide variety of feats that the Surfer can do, his energy output is higher (blast power).
He possesses the ability to teleport over vast distances (although not over interstellar distances).
He also has some psychic abilities (telepathy and mind bolts) and some understanding or arcane/magical powers.
Finally the most powerful weapon he has at his disposal is his mind. Way smarter than Reed Richards and potentially more insideous than Mephisto, there is virtually nothing he cannot plan for. It also permits him to arm himself with a whole host of highend gadgets that are capable of capturing beings at least as powerful as Thor.
Thanos wins.
