Thats funny..From wat I seen of Darkseid in the New 52 says otherwise.The JL couldnt even really hurt him and only BFR him.So no he's not on Kal level.More likely higher than him.

I REALLY do not see Darkseid or even Superman rather tanking a blast from Odin and giggling afterwards. I see incineration. It is generally accepted that outside of the Silver Age Superman and godlike versions, Odin from Marvel would obliterate Superman. Superman and Darkseid are generally on par with durability and physical strength and speed. I've never seen Darkseid demonstrate anywhere near the physical capabilities Thanos used to have, but I am not at all experienced with comics that had Darkseid in them. I hated the character and avoided most of the things he was in. Can Darkseid punch the ground and detonate Earth? Because Thanos can...

Darkseid is far more powerful than Superman. Superman only wins because of PIS.

Thanos vs Darkseid - Thanos in a tough one

Has Darkseid ever exhibited enough physical power to destroy an entire planet? I mean...it is generally accepted that Odin would wipe Superman and Darkseid out in the current era and even backwards down to the Silver Age. I really do not think the current era or the last few generations of DCs Superman and Darkseid could withstand a galactic level energy blast. Please correct me if I am wrong, because I don't enjoy Darkseid as a character and am only moderately versed on his history. Thanos seems like he is both physically stronger and more durable, as well as more mentally capable, witty and sneaky than Darkseid ever was.

Overall I say Thanos wins, but would be a good fight.

1. Where Darkseid and Superman are roughly even with each other. Both being able to beat each other at times. Thanos has been able to fight, hold his own, and might have won in a fight with Thor (who also is roughly in Superman's league) and the Thing in one of his earnest comics. And that was before he was upgraded by Death itself. Plus he was able to almost hold his own with Tyrant who was able to beat the Silver Surfer, Terrax the Tamer, Morg, Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, Jack of Hearts and Ganymede. by himself even when they were in groups. And even Tyrant said that Thanos was more powerful than all of them. More powerful than Beta Ray Bill (who is almost as powerful as Thor). More powerful than Gladiator (marvel Superman. And more powerful than the Silver Surfer who according to Tyrant was the most powerful out of a droup of himself himself Terrax the Tamer, Morg, Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, Jack of Hearts and Ganymede.

2. I also think Thanos is somewhat smarter than Darkseid. Thanos has been said to have a intellect that surpasses even the Earth's greatest human minds, including Reed Richards and Doctor Doom (both of whom are around Lex Luthor) and I don't think Darkseidis smarter than Lex Luthor. Plus Thanos has had ultimate power, unlike Darkseid and only losses it cause he deep down doesn't want it.

3. I think the omega beams are somewhat overrated. I mean there cool and very powerful, but I don't think that powerful.. Apocalypse and Mongul might now be able to withstand them, but Superman and Doomsday have, wonder woman's bracelets have, and in marvel Dc crossover Silver Surfer and Galactus have. There going to hurt, but I think there not going to do anymore than Thanos' energy attacks.

4. Thanos is a true immortal. He can't die. Even people more powerful than him like Galactus can't kill, and unless Drax the Destroyer does something He can allways come back from something.

But the big thing is how they both did when fighting Galactus.

Darkseid shot his omega beams. They did nothing and he almost go beat with one shot.

Thanos shot Galactus, hurt him somewhat and sent him flying.

full power darkseid. i meen the omega beems wont kill thanos but it will put thanos to the floor. and plus darkseid is a faster fighter. hes able to catch superman when hes flying straight at darkseid. darkseid also has tools like the one where he can teleport anywhere. he could push thanos to the coldest part of the universe. and the one when thaos expiences great pain. and armys at war darkseids army. darkseid has much better army. he has great scientists like daard great warriors like kalibak escape artists and lots more. and better vehicles like the giant dogs. and the female furious will own the army. and when the army is defeated darkseid will have help from kalibak and female furious defeating thanos.
