Thanos (with the Soul gem) VS Death Seed Sentry

The Sentry discovered about the soul gem, a powerful artifact that can affect one's soul. Seeing this as a possible threat to him, he start searching for the gem until he discovers that Thanos possesses that gem, and flies to his ship to take the gem from him. Upon the confront, Thanos sees in Sentry an interesting power, the power of one million exploding suns, and want that for himself.

Set:

• The gem can only be removed from Thanos if he is incapacitaded/Koed/Killed, also, it can't be destroyed
  
• Both are bloodlusted and Morals Off
• Current versions, but all feats for Thanos and Sentry
• Takes place in Thanos ship
• No outside help or prep time for Thanos, standard equipment except for the Soul Gem
• Thanos can only use the Soul Gem to imprision Sentry, but only after destroying his body completely
• Pimp-hand
• No BFR though

@supermanwithatan01: I know, that's why I limited it's powers, it can only be used here to imprision the Sentry afterthe fight, that was the only way to see them at their best without the "Sentry can't be put down" argument :P

@iragexcudder: It can't be destroyed here :P Actually this is just a Thanos VS DSS, Thanos can only use the gem to keep Sentry down, just to evade the "Immortal/Molecular Manipulation reborn" argument without nerfing Sentry.

@hyper_temporal_shift: I've cut almost all of the gem powers :P It's just for Thanos keep Sentry down. But I think that Sentry can put a good fight against Thanos, Thor traded punches with Thanos and stalemated him for seconds in a sheer strenght contest. Sentry simply wasn't bothered by Thor at all and with one hand subdued him, who was trying to free himself from the grip with his 2 hands and later stopped the Mjolnir with just a stare. I'm a Thanos fanboy so it's hard for me to say that.

I think Sentry could put up a hard fight against Thanos as well. I would LOVE to see the Void vs Thanos. That would be total bada$$ery!

@hyper_temporal_shift: Let's hope that Bendis listen to we :P I don't think the Void VS Thanos would be cool, a Stable Sentry is more powerful and should be near of the Thanos level, it would be really cool.

I'm not sure that Thanos can completely destroy all physical/metaphysical traces of DSS. But if all he has to do is just blast him to pieces in order to use the Soul Gem then waaaay easy win for thanos.

The above scans of Thanos vs. Thor gave me the impression that Thanos was so contemptuous of Thor (and everyone else, really) that he wanted to "no sell" Thor's attacks. I did not get the impression we were seeing a legitimate battle between the two.

Stable Sentry vs Thanos would be a good fight. Sentry nerfed up with celestial technology would make it a win For him IMO. Sentry wins simply because Thanos won't be able to destroy his body completely, so the Sentry wins.

Thanos has stoped Mjolnir too, with this telekenesis before. I think that is just as impressive as Sentry stopping Mjolnir with his stare.

I'm pretty sure Thanos would win without the Soul Gem. With it, he decimates.

Thanos without any amplification versus DS Sentry is already a toss up.

Sentry is definitely a trans tier, but I think he's being overrated. Look at the way Thor attacked Thanos vs the way Thor attacked sentry. I'm not saying Thor coulda beat sentry, he'd lose handily, but he did not get the first attack in, and sentry seemed to feel his lightning briefly. Thanos took more serious attacks from Thor, willingly..three infact, before catching the hammer strike, standing up physically effortlessly overpowering him, and punching him to the ground..THEN Thanos starts to unleash energy. I agree with the above poster who said it didn't seam to be a battle with Thor and Thanos, Thanos was about to start some serious beatings until his son stopped him, that was the point of the climax.

Thanos is still a bit too much for DSS. Because of his durability and his strategic abilities, he's now as far above a herald a someone can be without breaking into a new group of peers. DSS sentry vs Lord-Marvell would be more of a fight that would be 6-10 Sentry. Thanos casually beats people, it's part of his character..he won't lose a fight to someone like DSS.
