Premise

Welcome to the first ever Runs the Towers series! We all know of the Run the Gauntlet series but based on the reception, positive feedback and comments of the Zombies Everywhere Thread I decided to make a spiritual successor thread that was based on the concepts of the modes found in Soul Calibur 4 and Mortal Kombat 9. The Tower of the Lost Souls and the Challenge Tower.

Rules/Conditions

• No prep or prior knowledge
• There will be different challenges unique to each stage and there will also be boss fights
• The match is set-up like Challenge Tower and Tower of Lost Souls except there is no rewards
• The Team is in character and is working together
• Sonic is the video game version and is composite he can also become Super Sonic
• Ratchet and Clank are composite and same with Dante, Yoh as well as Finn
• With feedback and demand more teams as well as challenges will be added and you can suggest teams or challenges
• There are twenty challenges and the team must survive to clear
• Win by K.O/Death

Tower Challenges

C1: Listen to the worse music in the entire universe

C2: Live in our real world

C3: Switch lives and lifestyles

C4: Fight a bloodlusted and evil Thor who who is working with an evil Ash Ketchum

C5: Survive a black hole and supernova in anyway they can

C6: Eat the worse food in the universe a hundred times

C7: Be evil for a day but also be a hero

C8: Out prep Batman who has 1 week of prep who has intel on every member of the team

C9: Play tag and hide & go seek with Wally West and Barry Allen (Pre-New 52)

C10: BOSS BATTLE: Fight Darkseid (Pre-New 52)

C11: Hang out with Deadpool, The Tick, The Joker, Sheogorath and The Mask

C12: Join a band or boy band

C13: Be teachers for every villain and hero in a Academy

C14: Tell each other stories around a campfire

C15: Fight the entire Hulk Family while rock music is being played in their ears at high pitched sounds

C16: Babysit Bat-Mite, Son of the Mask and Baby Deadpool

C17: Have their mistakes shown to them a thousand times in a thousand ways

C18: Search the entire universe for the Infinity Gauntlet and change the Infinity War storyline

C19: Risk losing a loved one

FINAL CHALLENGE AND BOSS BATTLE: Amazo (Pre-New 52) and Ultron (Standard 616)

No idea on any of the characters.

I thought you might know at least about Sonic, Ratchet or Superman. What is your opinion on the overall concept though?

@neongamewave: Eh i've played a few Ratchet/Sonic games, but can't really remember anything. Superman...never really read that many comics involving him, think I've read like...1.

I thought this thread was pretty original and neat.

Should I switch the challenges around you have any thoughts on if they clear or stop?

Might stop at 18 as I don't see how they can outsmart cosmic beings like Thanos did but they might get the job done in a different way then what Thanos did.

I can see Dante or Naruto clearing this challange but I doubt Supes can handle it

My bad and I see. One character can be enough to help advance the team but they all have to still work together to get through it.

I believe your referring to the special, HD, complete and definitive editions for games in general, good question.

I think they are worth it if your looking in the right place. Metal Gear Solid, Batman, Kingdom Hearts, Devil May Cry, God of War and etc are worth the buy if you want to be reintroduced to a specific series and their really helpful for newcomers but sometimes I think their being overplayed and overdone to a certain extend because of how crowded the game market can already be but it depends on where you invest your interests.

Do you have any reasons why certain characters can`t survive that Gauntlet?

It depends on how long you think each member can survive, maybe 10-20 minutes is fine.

Probably stops at 5.

I remember this specific edition in regards to the community`s reactions and it did do a good job in terms of being able to standout among other releases. In terms of this definitive edition edition I think its intriguing and it has potential but overall I never really liked the new DmC idea. However, I have considered this edition specifically because of Ninja Theory being more hands-on and involved with the leveling of the standards for the game. Being on Xbox One and PS4 also gives it the chance to separate itself as another experience from the original version and it could bring new depth to the name of DmC.

I think it would be funny to see them in our real world and how they would fit in. I could see that happening but Sonic and Superman could be MVPs for their team.

Its possible but its not for certain there can and are many types of horrible foods also Superman be healed by Naruto and Sonic.

@neongamewave: If they make it past that (Team 1 can) then they stop at 8, they could catch one flash, but not both, because by the time sonic caught up to one the other would be halfway in the Earths crust or something

Well its not standard Sonic because he can turn Super Sonic and he becomes a reality warper at that point with speed that can potentially match Barry and Wally also Superman himself has experience in dealing with Flash not saying he`s comparable only experienced and Ratchet has weapons/gadgets/items that can manipulate, matter, gravity and energy on a impressive scale.

I think C7 would go to Azula and the rest. Team 1 practically clears

Who do you think are the MVPs for Team 1?

From what I've seen, superman wins them any fight. Ratchet and Clank are pretty tolerant and laid back so they should be able to baby sit Bat-Mite. It all depends on the rounds they are in to me.

Team 3 makes it the farthest making it to 16.

Azula rage quits

Midnighter does something cool then fails, to contradict the cool action (again)

Luke gets a head ache and strangles himself with the force

Kakashi doesnt pay attention while reading his icha icha and something bad happens, when it does he kamui's away like nothing happened

Carnage doesn't know what to do and proceeds to drool over SS

SS atomizes carnage and takes them all on a ride with his board until one of them falls off

Which characters are you familiar with?

Really like the idea behind this thread!

I see T1 stopping at 16 or 17, or they could even clear.

T2 could stop at the Darkseid boss battle but it all depends as it is a matter of team work.

T3 I`m not so sure about.
