Team Kane Chronicles: The House of Life: Carter Kane, Sadie Kane, Amos Kane, Zia Rashid, Walt Stone, Michel Desjardins

VS

Team Harry Potter: The Order of the Phoenix: Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, Severus Snape, Filius Flitwick, Mad Eye Moody

&

The Death Eaters: Voldemort, Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, Fenrir Greyback (as a werewolf but can also use magic)

Movie and book feats apply for HP wizards

Both teams have perfect teamwork. The House of Life magicians can channel their god's power (if applicable), but they are not hosting gods. Walt is not dying. Dumbledore has the Elder Wand. Voldemort does not have Horcruxes

Victory by KO or death

Round 1:

  • Takes place in an abandoned city
  • HP wizards have 30 min prep, House of Life has 5 min prep (standard gear only)
  • Each team only knows they will be facing a group of powerful wizards with different magic
  • Carter only has his Kopesh and wand
  • Morals on

Round 2:

  • The House of Life is attacking Hogwarts, Order of the Phoenix and Death Eaters (only members listed above) are defending
  • Both teams have read each other's books
  • Both teams have 1 day prep They have access to all gear and resources (except Felix Felices and Time Turners).
  • Carter has the crook and flail
  • Jaz and Madam Pomfrey can serve as medics for their respective teams
  • Morals off

Which team emerges victorious?

What do you think gives them the win? Is this for both rounds?

Not a Harry Potter fan, but from what I know about them those Death Curses or whatever they're called could be Game Over.

They also get dodged regularly by characters with average reflexes, they're dangerous but not game over

I did say "could be."

Unfortunately, the magicians in the book aren't all that impressive speedwise.

At best, they're low supersonic.

Jmarshmallow

They don't need to be anywhere near low supersonic to be able to dodge Avada Kedavras, no one in Harry Potter really has above human reflexes

Can the wizards spam Avada Kedavras? Because the House of Life have a bad habit of running into battle without thinking..

Pretty much all the time.

Especially Sadie and Carter.

And if they can spam it, then I don't see the House of Life winning IMO.

@jmarshmallow: Can you give some examples, particularly times when it ended badly for them?

Killing curses are not difficult to dodge, it's also possible some of the Egyptians could block them, especially Carter in his avatar

Carter should be fast enough to dodge most spells. I don't really think any Wizards have above human durability (correct if wrong) so the HoL has an edge there. Also Walt has a death touch.

Like when going up against Set, Sobek, that Spider Goddess lady who's name I can't remember, etc.

And I doubt that Carter's Avatar could just tank the Killing Curse (he certainly wouldn't be able to dodge it, the avatar makes him slower) unless he was amped by hosting Horus.

@jmarshmallow: You mean Serquet from The Red Pyramid?

Killing curses can be blocked by physical barriers that are strong enough. Considering that the avatar is both physical and magical, I think it's at least possible it could block it.

@darkdefender: he's killed before then too, Dumbledore mentioned it. Not all of the people at Hogwarts no, but the school's like a fortress with some powerful defenses @jmarshmallow: The only time I remember him being hurt by a minor demon was Face of Horror, who iirc was amped by Apophis

Not sure about Kane's team. Still have to read the books. Still, with Dumbledore and 30 minutes prep, it's very possible that Hogwarts wins round 1, though it could be a toss-up.

Round 2 definitely goes to Hogwarts. Dumbledore with a day of prep and no morals, plus the Elder Wand, is a slaughterhouse.

This is actually pretty one sided.... Kane chronicles magicians have horrid stamina and and Harry Potter wizards haven't shown to ever lose power with fatigue

You also added the most powerful, skillful, and accomplished group of wizards to face 4 teens, Micheal and Amos... House of life is getting dealt with here

@hulkage: The Egyptians' stamina wavered depending on plot. They has also shown greater raw power than the HP wizards, remember they can draw on godly power here

@arcus: Most of the time it was shown to be very low and onc they use it all up they basically die...

Harry Potter wizards have never shown that their magic fatigues them at all

And doesn't channeling the gods drain there lifeline or something like that? (Legit question because it's been awhile since I read the books)

Virtually all of those spells could conceivably be blocked by the House of Life. Apparition is a potentially viable defensive technique. House of Life could use the Duat

@hulkage: the only wizards who have been shown really apparating in combat are Dumbledore and Voldemort, what about the others? In the movies they did that smoke-flying thing that was maybe supposed to be apparation, but iirc they could still be hit in that form

Avada kedavra is a hax move which kills anyone it hits.

Crucio is also hax which causes unimaginable pain to opponents.

Imperio could be used by death eaters to make team Kane chronicles kill themselves.

team harry potter wins both rounds.

@arcus: that is true but I personally think that Voldemort

Dumbledore, and Severus should be enough to deal with the House of life

They are all extremely skilled magicians and can fly..... Plus once again if the House of Life makes it a long fight, which it will be regardless, that the Harry Potter verse wins due to not having a definite limitation on their stamina....

The duat drains them and so does all of theit other magic... One they use it all up they are practically defenseless

Protego should also protect against most attacks that aren't instantly fatal

@a1l_s2a3m4e5n:

Avada Kedavra can be blocked or dodged, same with Crucio (sonetimes)

Imperio can be fought. Most of the people here have willpower strong enough to channel a god's power. Carter, as one example, has resisted mental manipulation before from Setne
