Team GREEN vs Team PURPLE

With Team GREEN's rampaging through the universe, the unthinkable has happened. A special team of villains has been put together to stop the mean green wrecking machine. No expense has been spared, and only the best of the best have been brought in. The only question now is, can Team PURPLE put an end to Team GREEN?

The unstoppable Team GREEN: Hal Jordan, Martian Manhunter, World War Hulk

The dreaded Team PURPLE: Major Force, Despero, Parasite

..

No morals, everyone bloodlusted, no prep, to the death. Battle takes place on deserted Earth-like planet, teams start 10m apart.

Everyone starts with basic knowledge of their own teammates, but no knowledge of opposing team members.

Team Purple wins.

If nothing else, Parasite can just drain some of Major Force's power(considering that he has more than anyone else in the match, combined) and gain a power-up necessary to help Despero beat the Green Team.

Despero has a chance to solo IMO.

Purple. Despero's already beaten MM several times and Major Force + Parasite can get some heavy duty energy manipulation/draining on.

What is team green now? 5-1?

Question: Has Despero ever gone up against Hal, and, can the ring TP protection protect him from Despero?

Yes, in Crisis of Conscience. Despero took control of him and several other members of the League, including J'onn, until he was finally stopped by Zatanna's magic.

Could very well be. But, we'll see how it pans out. There's still plenty of green supporters around, I'm sure.

Even in this fight, I can see MM holding off against Despero long enough for Hal to take out the other two purples and then help him out for the win. The ring's TP protection might be the thing that gives them the small edge they need to win.

I believe you have him confused with Parasite. And yes he (Parasite) should be able to drain Gamma radiation.

And Hal could ony resist when he was concentrating all his will on it, and succumbed as soon as Batman hit him from behind (Showing you Despero can control others to do his bidding even while he is attempting to mindrape others)

The only chance I see for J'onn is if he is able to TP Despero fast enough that Despero's mind can't fight back (Which is hard because Speed is listed as one of Despero's powers) in a way that he makes Despero forget he has TP

Hal can possibly contain Parasite while WWH pounds on the Major. In fact, Hal can probably contain Parasite AND help beat down the Major with Hulks help. I think it all comes down to how MM does against Despero.

Parasite can simply stand around and watch as Hal's ring loses power by the second.

Yeah. I think MM can hold his own for a while until the others jump in. To be truthful, Parasite is the weak link. With out draining raiation, he really doesn't have the force to take on these powerhouses.

I believe Parasite is capable of draining more than just radiation. Might be wrong tho.

well he's 0-3 against Despero so far. Unless you count needing to give up a once in a lifetime ability to give someone visions of true happiness meant to be given to a loved one.

I was thinking if you were going to do a team pink/purple there would be a number of good contestants that could hurt team green, Jemm, Starbreaker, Despero... And hey looks that's the color choice you went with. (Ok tbh I was thinking pink, but since you included despero...)

Yup. Really, if I'd thought ahead of time that it'd be such a huge advantage, I would have either prohibited TP or just not used any TP-using characters. Oh well, now I know for next time.

I was at least hoping there'd be enough characters with strong enough TP resistance so that it wouldnt be a huge factor. But I guess against someone like MM you need a lot of resistance, which is more than most have.

@WillPayton: Yeah, TP and Speed Blitz are two of the biggest factors I see in battles. Basically if one side has an attack the other side can't defend against, its going to be a one sided battle.

Purple team has this.

You just knew it was going to be trouble for the green team when the pic of Despero is of him pwning MM.

The green team is a pretty formidable force. It would take something special to dethrone them. Which in this instance is Desparo. He's physically and mentally superior to MM, the main threat so he would take J'onn out whilst Parasite engaged Hal and Major Force would go toe to toe with Hulk. MF has gone up against Superman and the League before so I think he could handle WWH whilst Desparo finished off MM and Parasite tangles with Hal. Can Parasite absorb the energy/constructs produced by the ring though?

Anyway even if Hal did beat Parasite Desparo would dispatch him after a bit and then WWH would lose to Desparo and MJ. WWH would probably lose to Desparo anyway and Desparo could potentially solo this fight. At last Team Green's supreme reign comes to an end.

Really nice series of battles, interesting mix of characters. There's always one I don't know well so I haven't commented on any of them, but fun to read.

The jury's still out on whether team Green beat Team Black, imo. But, they definitely lose against the Purple Squad.

Purple. For once MM is not the deadliest in the list. Even being generous, MF and parasite are a good match for the other 2 but Desparo stomps MM. Not sure if Desparo could solo but he could sure give a good fight even 3 on 1.

@BlueLantern1995: Desparo's physically strong enough to beat the Hulk or to go toe to toe with him for a long time. Major Force has traded blows with Superman and the League whilst Parasite might be able to absorb the Green Lantern's energy but as I said in my previous post I'm not sure about that.
