I don't think anything you say for Taskmaster would help here, simply because he's outclassed in every aspect (speed, strength, reflexes, durability, endurance, agility, fighting skills). Taskmaster could probably replicate Midnighter's fighting style, but it won't help. It's not like he could replicate his ability to predict moves, and that isn't gonna happen here. And, Midnighter is gonna know Taskmaster's every move before the fight starts. Taskmaster is toast.
Now like I've said before, Taskmaster loves mixing his styles (From what I've seen), I know Midnighters implants allow him to know billions of possibilities but my question is has Midnighter ever dealt with someone who knows how to mix up styles like Task? Ok, I'll give you the thing about Jukko, True, He is way stronger then TM but he did'nt have Photographic reflexes nor did he have the kind of equipment that Task has got. Heh, Task is liable to pull out a Captain A. style shield hurl it at M's head and web up his feet with Replica's of Spidey's web shooters while sending a punch like a kick boxer.

Now, Here's a way the fight could go....IF Task has prep, By prep I mean, Task getting to read all of M's comics.
All he has to do, Is find a news station where Midnighter's husband (Forgot his name. Is it Apollo or Ares? Something like that?) speaks and he automatically copy that voice within a few hours. Task go's down a dark alley way, yells out "Midnighter?" In Apollo's voice and M go's rushing.

Even if Midnighter hasn't dealt with someone that likes to mix styles. But, the battle computer in Midnighter's brain let him know what Taskmaster is capable of. Meaning that he's gonna know about it before the fight. As I've said, Taskmaster is greatly outclassed. All of his equipment won't matter because Midnighter's reflexes are great enough to avoid anything that Taskmaster throws at him (M was able to dodge/parry bullets, dodge lasers, defeat speedsters without his battle computer, and kick away tank shells). As for prep, doesn't matter either. Battle isn't based on prep time. And, even with the elements of surprise, Taskmaster would still lose.
Its practically TM fighting Cap with Battle Precog . All i can see is a bunch of blocks . TM can fast forward a Kung Fu tape while watch it give himself a sort of super speed . He can hang
He was out maneuvering Cap who has a speed advantage . Midnighter has the Battle Precog that allows him to anticipate moves right? Taskmaster can read the moves in ppl muscles & learn them . How much will the precog help if he keeps learning Midnighters moves?
@uugieboogie: Midnighter isn't Cap. He's faster, stronger, more durable, more lethal (doesn't pull punches and will happily use his weapons to blow people up or dismember), has battle computer, better healing factor, and better pain tolerance. The only thing Taskmaster has is skill; everything else he's far outclassed.
@uugieboogie: Have you ever read a comic with Midnighter in it? The guy badly outclasses Cap, he defeated WINTER without doors and Winter can stand in the core of the sun without a dent, he could also cut TM in half with doors, and he just need to say THREE WORDS to do it:
