Tarrlok is pretty skilled in waterbending, but his real power lies in bloodbending.

Azula has no defense against that.

Tarrlok takes this.

As much as I love Azula, Tarrlok basically curbstomps this fight due to Bloodbending.

I call spite on this

From what I know on Tarrlok and Azula, this is not a spite. It all counts on who strikes first, who's speed is the best?

None of that matters super blood bending is an auto win against anyone except Avatars and fellow super blood benders, it seems to work on sight and unlike fire bending does not need to originate from the user. A super blood bender was able to subdue almost the entire cast of Avatar in their prime.

Exactly this.

Amon was basically the best regular bender ever, and would beat anyone in a 1v1 easily (aside from avatars).

Tarlok is like a lesser version of him, so this is still a stomp.

And from what I remember, Tarrlok or atleast his brother and father are able to bloodbend by mere thought. Speed is a non factor here

Pretty much, all it needs (at most) is a simple gesture and the fight is over. You can't dodge or block bloodbending.

Logically, Tarrlok should have this fight easy.

@Quartermaim: @girugamesh: @Gravy: If you take away blood bending, does azula win? Remember they are in a room filled with water and they start 150ft apart?

1) Tarrlok vs Azula

2)Azula vs Amon

#12 Posted by Quartermaim (465 posts) - 6 months, 13 days ago - Show Bio

@pooty: I would say if you take away bloodbending Azula wins 7/10 Tarrlok is almost the opposite of her in combat he seems to keep his cool very well. That give him some advantages even with his lack of feats.

Well if you take away bloodbending then I think it could go either way. Tarlok was being overcome by Korra before he resorted to bloodbending, and since Azula>Korra IMO that means Azula would win this in my book. But the fact that there is plenty of water and that they start so far away from each other means it could be very tricky for Azula.

All the same, with her cunning, I will say that Azula takes it with high difficulty.

Azula was actually known for keeping her cool very well, it wasn't until the end of season 3 that she started to lose it.

Simply being an adult should be enough of an advantage the LOA didn't acknowledge this because it was a kids show and the few adult villains where that impressive. You can see the difference in tone of the 2 shows because he actually utilizes an obviously lethal water bending move with his ice knives, I know earth and fire should kill people but how often where people just knocked back instead of being crushed or charred.
