Peter Parker vs. Tai Lung

Morals off. Random encounter.

Peter has his spider sense and Kung Fu training but no webbing.

Winner by death, KO or incapacitation.

Battle in Central Park at dawn.

Spidey gets a new carpet.

Tai lung

Peter has him in combat speed..but that's really it. He's outclassed in pretty much everything else.

Spiderman wins with easy

Peter should skill be stronger and faster, but Tai Lung has the edge in skill, and not to mention that nerve attack he used on the 5.

Tai-lung is also more durable too. I'd give him that.

I don't know, Tai has some pretty rad leaping feats that I doubt Spider-Man could replicate. Furthermore, Tai has busted a building with a kick and did a massive crater takedown on Po.

He's not untouchable and doubtful. Haven't seen much in the striking department for Pete. The best I've seen was him comparing his punches to wrecking cars while giving Wolverine a beatdown. Which falls quite short of building level destruction.

Ehh, Peter has ripped apart an entire Apartment in one move before, and punched Iron Man 2020 into a Building and destroyed it. He's caused massive earthquake like fissures punching Venom which have overturned cars and destroyed streets. Plus he has stuff like being the size of an insect and jumping up to and knocking out people in one blow. He's ripped apart armor which can survive falls from terminal velocity without a scratch. Tai has some pretty good striking feats, but I think Peter's better.

It doesn't matter too much because Tai has pressure point knowledge and he can incap Peter with those. Thing is, he doesn't usually start off the battle using them, and Peter is significantly faster. I see Peter K.O'ing Tai with punches/pressure points before Tai incap's him with a Pressure point. Tai is more durable (he tanked the Wooshi hold without dying) but Peter has more than enough to K.O him eventually. And if Tai wants to use standard blows, Peter can tank some of those too. For example, Venom threw a 8 ton armored van at him and Peter shoulder-barged it out of the way (and this was after he was exhausted fighting Venom for an extended period of time).

Tai jumped into the air, and landed with a punch straight onto the hard stone ground. The result was a 20 foot wide crater...

Edit- I know I already replied but I didn't highlight the speed arguement. Peter, and most other streets in Marvel are significantly above the most of the Kung Fu Panda universe in speed, partly because they have to deal with Bullets, Missiles and the like. In Kung-Fu Panda (KFP) 1, the fastest projectiles people had where arrows. Po was dealing catching Cannonballs in KFP which top out at about 671 miles an hour max (and these are the best, most highly advanced ones- the ones in KFP 2 where rather primitive), and they quickly decrease in max speed. Peter has for an extended period of time, outpaced tracking bullets, dogded Mach 3.5 bullets at near point blank range, speed blitzed at machine gun fire, and covered miles in seconds on multiple occassions. Not to mention with Way of the Spider, and no Spider-Sense, he blitzed people with Spider-Powers that could see bullets in slow motion, all in one panel.

And even more so, Po's feats don't transfer to everybody else's. He stomped Tai and is better than every other fighter in the Kung-Fu Panda universe except possibly the turtle who is dead now anyway.

@laflux: I'm not sure what side of the argument you are on. But that is no wear near Spiderman's strength. Spiderman could take on 30 Rhinos (the villain) bloodlusted I kid you not depending on the environment.

I said that's the best I've seen. So its actually everyone else's fault for not providing such solid evidence to begin with :P

I'm saying Peter wins. And of course he could.

Tai Lung is pretty fast- Shifu was waiting for him at the gates of the Temple, no one was there. Lightning Flash. And Tai Lung is there. That's some speed. Anyway Spidey may be able to press more weight, but in terms of technique and fighting prowess Tai Lung has Spidey beat. Tai Lung takes this:

@heatblaze123: Standard Spiderman hesitates and holds back against Black Cat. He's had issues with Sabertooth in the past. He struggled against Shen Kuei (who was blindfolded).

Face it heatblaze. Spiderman is weak against feline-based characters. While he's beaten them, he's always struggled, and they weren't on the same level as Tai Lung.
