People seem to forget Vibranium is not Adamntium, and only good against blunt and energy damage. T-3000 was able to Stab through T-800 Hyper Alloy to cut off his arm.

Add to this Ultron Vibranium can wear down, it did in the movie, John does not where down at all. His Phase Metal will replace/heal any major damage, and can phase through attacks, and has withstood greater heat damage than Ultron out out.

It be a long as hell fight, but in the end Ultron would lose.

@sirfizzwhizz: vibranium has only been shown to be damaged by the combined attack of the mind stone, thor's lightning and iron man's repulsors. Adamantium (in fox movies) has never endured such a powerful attack.

I haven't seen genisys so I can't comment on your statement about the t 3000
