Swamp Thing vs. Man Thing

Who do you think would win in a straight up battle between the two swamp creatures. To be fair the battle will take place in the swamp.

I am going to go with Man Thing on this one, he seems to be more primal and deadly than Swamp Thing. However with Swamp Thing's science back ground he might be able to out smart Man Thing.

Man Thing by a narrow margin.

Swamp Thing

Swamp-Thing knows fear, therefore it burns at the Man-Thing's touch.

I would say Man-Thing. I think he would beable to burn through Swamp Thing.

Swamp Thing. He is more crazy and much smarter.

Swamp thing is the earth elemental, he controls all plant life. Why would he be afraid?

Maybe he's afraid of Man Thing's...you know...man thing.

He doesn't need to be afraid of anything, he just has to "know fear".

The corrosive acid thing only works when someone near Man Thing is afraid. If you're not afraid, you're fine. Also, he's made of plants, Swamp thing wouldn't need to be anywhere near him to beat him.

I read Man-Things "emotional reaction" differently than you do.

I think hypothetically Hal Jordan would be burned by Man-Thing because of his relationship with Parallax (he 'knows fear'), regardless of his emotional state at the time.

But you are probably right concerning Swamp-Thing status as an Earth Elemental.

Man-thing will kill the Swamp-thing the instant it feels fear but otherwise it will go down to brute force, but whoever wins will Rejoice as millions no longer will confuse the two who look very similar and have similar names.

Man-Thing would take this, Swamp Thing would burn by the touch of the guardian of the nexus of all realities!

Swamp Thing simply has more power available to him...but I prefer Man-Thing myself ;)
