Superman obviously has more control over it, but I'm not sure whose is actually better. Superman's also drains him over time at a rather substantial rate in some iterations, though N52 wise I'm not sure how good his HV is.

If remember correctly, superman has destroyed an army of *Doomsdays with his beams. I don't know much about Cyclops "beam" feats but I think superman would win.

Heat Vision at it's most powerful can destroy Darkseid's army of Doomsdays

Heat Vision - Destroyed Brainiac's ship which is way bigger than Earth. Killed an entire army of doomsdays.

As far as power of heat vision versus optic beams, Superman blows Cyclops away.

Cyces got some good feats from wide spread forrest attack to even ripping the WW Hulk skin and doing Damage. Superman on the other hand is just too powerful. Heat vision or even basic superman force of his vision is still above cyclops

Supes HV best feat so far are Brainiac's ship and the Doomsday army. Way above anything Cyclops has ever done. Plus the lobotomies...

I think the HV used against Brainiac's ship is a solid planet buster.

A lot of feats bein used from a movie etc.

This is a heat type beam vs a force type beam, Cyclops IMO should win here, as Superman's would eventually wear out; while Cylops can still carry on unleashing his optic blast.

They are two different kinds of beams superman fires heat lazery type beams. Where Scott's are supposed to be but not always beams of kinetic energy.

I am not even sure if you are serious . You might need to rethink got back to the drawing board with that. If its the pre 52 or new 52 superman , Cycs still has no chance beam wise.

Supermans normal blasts are about equal to Cyclops most powerful ones, and Superman has far more stamina.
