@jayc1324: Still MOS
Superman vs Thor (movie versions)
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Lets be realistic. MOS Superman had far more striking power, throwing back foes of equal strength with far greater force. He flew flast, reacted faster, and had much better strength feats. That oil rig was EASILY over 1000 tons. The fight sequences in MOS demonstrated a level of power that simply dwarfed anything weve seen in the Thor movies, and I really wish that wasn't true because I want Thor to win, but based on his showings in Thor, Thor dark world and avengers there is nothing there that holds a candle to MOS feats.
LOL, Thor sucks badly in his movie version, marvel studios has to stop being cheap and make a proper superhuman fight for once, becuase outside Winter Solider every end fight sucked.
Here, look, Thor biggest fight lol
Personally, The characters are created from comic characters' versions. But Hollywood has NOT properly shown by far how powerful Thor or Hulk are individually. Avengers has kept Thor & Hulk in a box w/ Iron Man as the main guy. Like Man of Steel did a better job of displaying how powerful Superman is. However, but Thor alone can move planets & level cities by himself. Plus Hulk can also do the same thing and he is much faster than the Hollywood has shown on any level. Thor is supposed fly w/ out his hammer.
Thor is by far the more skilled fighter. It's close.
SUPERMAN WINS. Why because he is sexy with his shirt off.....well so is Thor MMMM!! Anyway but yea movie superman wins he was just too much very strong very fast durable throwing some very good punches yea he wins. :-)
thor. Superman never showed any impressive combat speed except for getting blitz. While thor has bettar striking with majolnir+lightning
You're really saying that Superman (MOS) gets beat by movie Thor? No impressive speed feats? He fought Faora pretty damn fast in the movie and he was zipping around the place like crazy. Thor had to take a train to his fight because he is so weak he is basically human without his hammer.
Not sure I have an opinion. I've only seen TDW and MOS twice each. Although in Thor, the depowered Thor disposed of a SHEILD Agent with a sweet fireman's carry. If you know collegiate wrestling at all, you know what I mean. So as far as H2H ability goes, Thor has demonstrated technique outside of just the Hammer bash.
If Thor can get him on the floor then put Mjonil (I have no idea how to spell it) on him, then beat him up while he is on the floor, then Thor, but otherwise Superman
Thor obviously . Supes may have speed but thor has his hammer. He can use his magic lightning and light supes up or charge up his hammer and knock the crap out of him. Plus he has better feats
1. Who would win in a fight between these
two? Thor wins 2. Who's stronger? Superman (physically) 3. Who's more powerful? Thor, here's why First off, speed is out of the question really,
superman didnt speedblits one person, so
who's to say he is going to suddenly want
to do it to thor, and if he does choose to
slug it out (which he was shown to do) thor
is going to stomp him, his fight between iron man proves that Secondly, thor has more options of attack,
he has lightning, hurricanes, which are all
magic, so superman will be as durable as a
human to it, and it killed leviathens like they
were nothing Thirdly, thor has better reaction feats, like
when he fought hulk, he danced around
him, and when he fought ironman, he also
swatted away destroyers beams like they
were fodder, goodbye heat vision, and
anyway, his lightning seems stronger than supes lightning Fourthly, thors hammer strikes are
argueably too hard for supes to handle,
destroying whole landscapes with one
blow, one shotting a leviathen, one
shotting a monster that was gigantic in ice
giant land, spinning his hammer to block attack and to fling attacks, throwing mjolnir
hard enough to go through about 7 ice
giants and continue going, only to be called
back, and he is not slow, he travelled the ice
giants whole land in about 5 seconds, not
that supes would speed blits anyway, though thor's reactions prove he could tag
supes anyway thor also used and area of
attack lightning attack to kill like 15 chituari
warriers surrounding widow and hawkeye
and cap 4. Which actor did it better? Loved both, tie
Supes used his speed in short bursts,
nothing like Faora did, he used it to close
distances and bullrush, but at close range
he slugged it out and relied on his strength
and instinct in battle, whereas thor was
stomping on the ice giants and chituari while utilizing mjolnir in such a way that it
can block while he fights with it Even if i overlook the weakness to magic
(as it wasn't shown in MOS universe), thor's
lightning would greatly injure supes, he
didn't show any energy resistance,
especially energy that can kill leviathens
easily and travels faster than he can react (lightning speed), and just some thor
durability: thor took 0 damage from hulk, save a little
bleeding nose, he only barely bled from
kurse, who swatted a amped mjolnir that
could decimate jotenhime ( i dont care bout
spelling), and who through 100+ ton
boulders at thor which just shattered against his skin I love the way MOS Kryptonians are
worshipped, "Kryptonians are immune to
everything except other Kryptonians",
"Kryptonians can't feel pain" (sorry for that,
not really aimed at you), but supes didn't
really show great reactions, some thor reaction feats" Thor without mjolnir was stomping 20+
shield trained agents, with it he bats away
destroyer beams, casually dances arond
hulk, dodges projectiles, fight on par with
loki, stomps whole armies, nope, he tags
supes and mjolnir tags supes if thor cant and thor was able to dodge point blank
projectile aether from malekith And thor hits way harder than any
kryptonians have shown to be able to hit

@sebast_allen: Thor does hit way harder, and that boulder looked like it weighed about 500+ tons, but he's still too slow, so Superman will still win.
@XLR87T3
As I said In my earlier post, Clark mainly uses bullrushes if he's using his speed, and Thor could react to Malekiths projectiles being fired at him from just a few metres, and even better, he was able to react to and redirect all of the Destroyers beams almost point blank, he would tag Supes.

Good grief---even though it was pointed out SEVERAL times in this thread that magic as a weakness has NOT been introduced in the CINEMATIC universe yet, there are STILL posters claiming that? Not to mention that even in comics, Comic Vine (AND DC comics for that matter) has repeatedly debunked magic as being PARTICULARLY harmful to Supes, he just has no SPECIAL immunity to it (like most every OTHER substances he encounters) than Batman, Iron Man, Black Canary, Shang Chi or anybody else? AND there are posters STILL WILLFULLY ignoring Kal's INSURMOUNTABLE speed advantage??? (Sigh). SUPERMAN WINS (in ANY version).
Not even going to bother looking through this thread at all the MoS supporters. Thor wrecks. He's had thousands of years of real combat experience against a myriad of opponents, whereas Clark is a complete novice. Thor can manipulate the weather casually and cause tornados, control lightning, and to top it off he has a magical hammer which will absolutely wreck the Kryptonian (who is weak to magic).
And right on cue, a HORRIBLY mis informed poster trots out that tired "weak to magic" crap, AND, as per their statment that they're "not even going to bother looking through this thread" remain WILLFULLY ignorant to the reasons Kal wins because they "like" Thor better. Anyone-even if they think Thor could win-that states "Thor WRECKS" Supes is a TEXTBOOK example of mindless fanboyism, and really can't betaken seriously. As always, in ANY version---SUPERMAN WINS.
@TheOneWhoKnows
Lol, Jimmies rustled much.
==========================
I'd be willing to have a Cav on this if anyones interested? I'll debate for Thor obviously :)

You call me a fanboy yet you aren't even aware of Superman's weakness to magic. A true fan can point out their characters weaknesses and their strengths.
@TheOneWhoKnows
Do you even read New 52? Magic teeth, TEETH can draw blood from supes where Swords made of materials harder than diamond can't...
Like I said, TEXTBOOK---Comic Vine AND DC comics has rebutted the "magic weakness" trope, but fanboys DESPERATE for a weapon against Supes still WILLFULLY ignore it. Not to mention even if it WERE a particular weakness (which it isn't) it could not be used here---magic as a "weakness" has NOT been introduced in the CINEMATIC version. So you STILL fail in ANY case, just as in ANY case: SUPERMAN WINS.
@theonewhoknows: There's no need to shout and call people fanboys. I'm just objectively stating the facts. Sure, Superman is fast and has concussive eye blasts but Thor is a literal magic wielding god with a ridiculous amount fighting skill. Supes is outmatched, to be honest. Especially because of the magic, never mind Thor's strength.
@TheOneWhoKnows
Lol, you really don't know anything about Supes, those same Magic teeth had ZERO effect on Diana, a character who's suppoesed to be less durable than Supes as well as more seusceptible to piercing damage. Supes' durability is miniscule vs Magic, deal with it.
I'll be happy to debate for Thor.
Of course you are, Thor would wreck Superman :P

Like Thor wrecked that glass case he was in?

That glass case could hold the Hulk, who wrecked a massive leviathan. Clark passed out from merely holding part of an oli rig. Thor smashing that glass is better than anything Clark has done. In fact he'd probably go through Clark easier than he did the glass.

'Oli' rigs are heavy.
In any case, he broke a guy's neck. Have Hulk or Thor that? No? Good. It shows Clark will cross a line they can't and will win.
Everyone knows the key to winning fights is being more brutal.

Thor doesn't need to resort to such medieval measures when he can use Asgardian martial arts. That's just a show of desperation on Superman's part because he couldn't get the job done like a real man.
