You make it seem like Superman was killed because he wasn't powerful enough or that he was weak. It was all plot. Nothing more. That's why Doomsday's never defeated Superman since that arc. The whole point of, "The Death of Superman" was for him to die. It was an innovative and ground breaking move that had nothing to do with his abilities or strength. So yes, Superman died, because that's what the point of the story was :P

A sonic boom, a mach 1 sonic boom is hardly impressive. A mach 5 sonic boom will devastate,but compared to pushing the earth which has a mass of 6 x 10 E24 kilograms thats small peanuts.
Superman brings hulk to the star wars multiverse, directly in front of the death star's primary super laser, and hulk becomes vaporized instantly by 10E38 joules of energy.
You know Superman can use his heat vision in different ways. That's why I posted the scan of his fight with Manchester Black. He used his X-Ray vision, saw an abnormality in Manchester brain, then used his heat vision like a laser ad removed it. All this took one panel.

The sun isn't fire, it's plasma, and the core of it is far hotter than any flame hulk has ever withstood, which would incinerate him and give the sun some more matter to fuse.

Depends on how long he's been sundipped, for a hour or more, only red suns and magic affect him. If he sun bathes in 10 yellow hyper giant's radiation he will become God. If they merge to form a hypergiant with the mass of a 1000 suns and the brightness of a million, he will simply enter the core and exit being stronger than the spectre.
