Superman

n52 Supes should beat the pants off of Kara. The imitation Kal beat her into the ground, and Supes beat that effortlessly. Superman is also more powerful, though only slightly. Kal has faced more adversaries, and kara has been shown to have some trouble with Connor (sort of, though trouble probably isn't really the accurate term)

Pre 52 or New 52, Superman beats Supergirl.

Pre-52 Supergirl was always portrayed to be superior to Superman

Pre-52 it was a close one if Clark had morals on. He resorted to Kryptonite, remember?

New 52 Supergirl potentially wins in bloodlusted battle. She has her sunburst strike which just gives her a chance to KO outright.

Superman's edge over Supergirl isn't pure power, it's significantly greater mastery over his powers than her, which he conceivably loses most of when he's just all out speedblitz/punching.

The early vol. 1 New 52 Superman imitation/Supergirl fight is not really indicative of pure power, because Supergirl had basically just landed, less than a week before, and it had been weakened with its battle against Kara before getting curbstomped by Superman. Also, it was terrible writing, poor Perez :(

I mean, Superman probably wins a majority... but it's nowhere near a stomp. 58/100 Superman.

EDIT: Supergirl didn't have any problem with Kon, his max lift around his fight with her topped out at a generous 5 tons. Just recently, he's become a legitimate contender against Superman/Supergirl.

Pre-52 or new 52 Superman wins, he beat her in the comic where Darkseid took over her mind, and then his clone? beat her in the new 52, and superman beat it up easily. Superman is more skilled and has more energy saved up to be able to take her on without to much trouble. He has better feats than her at the moment and even during the pre and post he had better feats. the notion she is stronger was proven only to be because she doesn't hold back as much as superman does.
