Superman vs Silver Surfer

I know this has been done a million times but I was reading about the silver surfer and found out that he doesn't need to eat or breath because he automatically absorbs energy from nearby stars so would it be plausible to say that he could do the same with superman since superman is powered by the same kind of solar energy, the silver surfer may not be able to do it from a distance but if superman were to hit him perhaps his body would act like some kind of conductor for the solar energy for it to pass into the silver surfer so that if superman and silver surfer fought then every time superman hit him he would get stronger and superman would get weaker. Does this make sense?

It may,but stars let off other kinds of energy to you know,But if the comic guys have never thought to do something like that,I'm sure it's because they cant.Alot of planning and scientific thinking goes into powers,so I think they would have already thought of this but maybe with another character.

If Norrin chose to absorb the solar energy from Superman, he would not have to wait for Superman to make physical contact with him.

The reason I mention that superman has to make physical contact is that lots of people say that superman can react faster than silver surfer and that superman would beat him into submission before the silver surfer could do anything but him superman's every punch made him weaker and the silver surfer stronger then that may make the difference so that superman couldn't just hit him a million times in a second.

Superman would win if  SS didnt use atomic manipulation.

I say surfer wins but only because of the new 52. Before it Superman could have won.

People forget that Superman has the mini-EM energy sheild that protects from alot things like Transmution so Surfer would still have trouble with him.
