Before, he was just a normal man, covered in his Dilustel Skin. But, recently, Judd Winick has it to where Captain Atom is becoming more of an energy being and less of a human being... "

A powerhouse being able to knock around another powerhouse really make them equals in strength. It just means that one is strong enough to fight the other, unless narration states that they are equal. M'gann might be somewhere within Supergirl's strength class, but not exactly equal to her. Perfect example. Captain Atom was strong enough to trade blows with Mr. Majestic. But, unlike Captain Atom, Mr. Majestic is strong enough to tow planets out of orbit. Captain Atom has never shown to be that strong before. Just because he was able to fight Majestic doesn't mean he's at the same strength level with him. "

Lifting feats are largely unused in modern comics because most all of them have been done; so it can be difficult to be creative with it (even though that is hardly an excuse). Cars, trains, buildings, planes, tanks, helicarriers, ships, mountains, ice caps, creatures, mystical cities, heavens, moons, planets. What else is there?

" @Silver2467: The only problem is that quite a few characters have lifted all of those things. Superman has probably gotten away with it the most.
 
I don't think that they should be left out, but used sparingly, you know?   

I know Superman is slightly stronger than Manhunter, but how are they in comparison to speed, fighting skill? I know Manhunter can just mindrape the hell out of Superman, but if it came down to hand-to-hand combat, who would win?
