Ok...lets just make this smooth and simple, DC characters are very over powerd so, with that saying unless you are a cosmic being, a celestial or a omega level mutant with enough speed and durability to keep up with his attakcs you wont win. So please let this be the end of these types of threads. Sups will win unless you match him up with one of the above classifications iv'e listed.

@LordOfAllHumans: Yes, but many then argue that it's pointless to bump such a thread that has a pretty well known answer. This isn't like say Captain America vs Batman to where there's no real clear winner, this is closer to the Flash vs Quicksilver in the fact that it's obvious who gets stomped. Therefore it annoys certain people on that fact alone. I myself have just learned to ignore it.

Except it's not "obvious." If Dr. Polaris can give Superman a rough time then Magneto has a very, very good chance of beating him. This isn't a vote so what the majority thinks doesn't matter.

Supes beats current Mags (as he's a jobber to the fullest unfortunately)...Ruthless Mags in his prime could take the "boy scout"

Yeah... But Dr. Polaris knows how Supes powers work. Magneto, on the other hand, has absolutely no idea.

I do agree that Magneto is a powerhouse that could actually pull a win if Superman takes too long to bring him down. Superman's victory would be dependent on how long the fight actually drags out and how powerful Magneto is at the time...at least that's the way I see it. If Mags doesn't bring his most powerful, ruthless A-game but decides to toy with Clark, I see him losing quickly.

I completely agree. To me his biggest advantage here is his morals are much lower than Supes, meaning he might be willing to go all out right away, which could be the key to his victory. However, one cannot ignore the overwhelming advantage Superman has in physical stats, plus his heat vision. Superman can win in multiple scenarios, whereas Mags can't afford to screw up, because when he does Supes will end him. But again, with morals this would be interesting.
