Thanks to plot. With less prep, Lex has wiped out thousands of Kryptonians during the New Krypton arc.

and all of luthor's losses are PIS ? it's really hard to believe that at that point.
Kryptonite iron man suit
do tell us where in the universe is tony gonna find that much kryptonite to create such suit

Lex also beat Supes using the Injustice League, on another occasion using the Revenge Squad, he was winning in Birthright until Lois Lane sabotaged his equipment and the instance where he turned the sun red and really killed Superman, Supergirl and Zod at once.
@comicstooge: the point would be is how many times has luthor lost against kal ? removing PIS losses, the instances that kal lost against luthor with much prep is small enough that tony, who has lesser prep time and research, almost has nil chances.
Superman on the Moon is closer to the sun
Superman speed Blitzes Tony and rips his mask off annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I bet if it were Batman, everyone would be saying Batman stomps because he has "prep".
Iron-Man wins.
1 day prep. is enough for bruce because he's bruce

I would have a hard time believing Tony Stark can replicate the radiation a red sun puts off.
Tony should win this if he has any sort of knowledge on Superman to be honest. Especially with such an easy weakness to exploit. Heck, he only needs one days prep. He already has a device that can BFR a NYC sized area into the negative zone, all he has to do is target where Superman is, while Superman is completely oblivious to what's coming, and BAM, Supes is in the negative zone.

@floopay: You typo'd and forgot the " 't " in "can't".
As in "I would have a hard time believing Tony Stark can't replicate the radiation a red sun puts off."
Thank you. I hate making typos, dunno how that one got past me.

If he had Kryptonite he would win. Without it I don't think there's much else he could build that could take down Superman.
ironman +prep=>batman +prep>>>superman
Batman has never beaten Superman. Prep or otherwise.

I really don't like people who use TDKR as proof of Bats beating Supes with prep. Frank Miller is a Batman fanboy.

It's not canon, either.
It literally is just fanfiction.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL im so done superman wins but still.. this comment made my day
the bitter truth bro
@dorukesin: Except, you know, it isn't.
Wayne is superior in some areas, while Stark is superior in others. Put in a battle, Iron Man is far out of Batman's class.

and Tony was able to shatter Phoenix Force because of prep, that's also a great prep feat

yup. its not like superman has ever overcome kryptonite before.....

Tony has had years to build against Hulk and Thor, and has never beaten either. That's even making suits designed to beat them. Lex has had years to beat Superman, even making things specifically designed to beat him, he still loses.
Even more so, this has been done before. Superman literally just runs him over. Nearly any suit would be near worthless. They even start in a face-off. Tony cannot feasibly beat Supes.

Iron-Man wins.
True lol
Superman. It would be a hard battle because of his morals, but in the end after getting pissed off, will just rip his suit off aka Thor.
On to the Batman with one month prep and bloodlusted, he would win because he knows Superman, has Kryptonite, and Superman would never kill him.
However, if Superman is bloodlusted, he could defeat Tony, Lex and Batman with a year prep while bloodlusted lol.
@xlab3000: I hate the batman with prep thing vs Superman T.T It just makes me so frustrated. People always just blindly link TDKR film to me, it's horrendous :O

I don't want to derail the thread further, but if I may briefly chime in...
I think TDKR is more than mere fan fiction.
And how I understand it, technically it is "canon" (i.e. twas published by DC, takes place in the same universe)... it's just not mainstream Batman (i.e. Earth One).
@brainstorm01: personally i say purely because of determination
Batman + prep > IronMan + prep > superman (unless he gets prep he can even stuff out then)
I think TDKR is more than mere fan fiction.

No it's not.
No, it isn't

Your third line doesn't quite fit. Haha!
Anyhoo... care to explain? I am curious as to your reasons for saying this.
EDIT: Nevermind. Your third line does fit. lol. My bad.

Um, yes it does.
"It takes place in the same universe."
"No it doesn't"
How does that not fit?
TDKR takes place on Earth-31, just like all of Miller's fanwank. DC goes out of their way to draw borders between it and mainstream Batman.

Considering Batman + prep barely beats out Superman with morals, what is Iron Man gonna do with prep? His strongest suit (isn't it the Bleeding one which can lift 500 tons, so many!) can't handle Superman who is pissed off.
You know what, besides TDKR, I only remember the tower of Babel where Batman with prep beats Superman. And wasn't that a surprise attack by Ra's? Has there ever been a canon story where batman has a lot of prep and fights Superman?
Um, yes it does.

Yep, see me edit. My mistake. I saw that you clipped the last part of comment when you quoted. Which is where I was confused. No worries.
At any rate, how exactly does DC go out of there way to draw borders between the two? Even if they do, how does that change the fact that it is canon and within the same universe? It really doesn't.
And from what I have seen, DC is still all for promoting TDKR even to this day. They recently released an animated film adaptation of that exact story, in fact. If they were trying draw borders and establish it as separate "fanwank" - as you put it - I would think they'd be doing more to push it under the rug, not promote it.
