It's the Hyperion from Supreme Power (Earth 31936).
Even though this version of Hyperion appears to be potentially more powerful than other versions of Hyperion (excluding King Hyperion), he is no match for Superman. He has shown no feats that put him anywhere near Superman's level. He has shown to be injured by a series of 20 linked Daisy cutter bombs (each having a 1 kilotonne potential). The overlap of these 20 explosions would dramatically increase their power but Hyperion was critically injured. Only the intervention of Zarda saved his life. Superman has withstood explosions that are the equivalent of thousands of megatonnes without injury. Hyperion power dived from the upper atmosphere and impacted the Earth with sufficient power to register an earthquake of 10.5 on the Richter scale but this pales against Superman helping to pull a planet back in to orbit.

The writers often suffer from inferiority complex and the demographic market is 12 year old kids. If somebody stronger than him fights him Superman pushes back and overpowers him, if someone faster than Superman fights him superman pushes back and outspeeds him. If all of a sudden Superman needs ninja techniques all of a sudden he has Batman beat with 900 years ninja training. Hyperion can be destroytd again and again, but with Superman you know for a fact he will never end up in a chair like Miss Gordon. Superman is basically the god plot from the machine, he will beat anyone he faces again and again until there is nothing worth revamping.

Just kidding. lol. When I hear/read copies I don't consider alternate versions of Superman himself. I'm refering to turd burglars like hyperion,sentry,supreme(that prime)ect.

Dankschen! I read both forums,1 was people just saying one or the other(no real explanations) The second made more sense,but the facts were debatable. It seems like the Alan moore version and the Liefield version are completly different.
They guy held together two universe's with his bare hands. He's crazy powerful. Granted, he still has few feats, but once he does get some more feats, I think a great argument can be made for him beating Superman.

A pin prick can make someone bleed...that's not a great indicator of damage.
Doesn't beat them for costume or being interesting, though. I detest the way he's written (every version), and that DC has to come up with feats that outdo anything anyone else of the super strong variety does in theirs, or any universe.
Heck, the writer for Superman in the late 90's did an interview in Wizard magazine following the Marvel vs. DC series where he said, "Hulk is physically stronger, but Superman has more abilities." So an admission by his own writer that he's not the strongest, but they keep granting him feats that outdo anything another character ever achieves.
Superman has become the Hulk Hogan of comic books: refuses to let anyone else get over.
