they start 700 feet away from each other and are only allowed to get 400 feet close to each other

no physical contact

no other powers, only heat vision and optic force blast

superman is not allowed to fly, but is allowed to run.

takes place in a desert terrain

who wins? who has the better blast?

Eye beam versus heat vision. Basically, the same as the first link.

@Omega-Man : Yeah but at the same time Cyclops has only ever used less then a tenth of his potential because of subconscious fear.

#16 Posted by ssejllenrad (12847 posts) - - Show Bio

@Teerack: Let's just say he is using 1% and this is the effect....

And even though I know Wolverine was just exaggerating when he said it was a "nuke", let's give it to them. Even if you multiply that with a hundred, it still wouldn't be enough to match Superman's feat of heating the whole world with his heat vision.

Superman. Even if Scott's beam was better it wouldn't hurt him.

We don't know the energy interaction Superman might have with Scott's beam honestly. His power is so absolutely vague.

True, Heat vision on concussive force hasn't been explored as far as I've read.

I'm not quite sure but I vaguely recall PC Superman pushing a planet with his heat vision. Silver Age was just so full of science!

Don't Marvel characters casually tanks Cyke's Blast? Like the Thing or Hulk or even Rogue (Ms. Marvel)... Granted they were not fully-forced all the time, I doubt most of them took nerfed blasts.

It is kinda unclear. Usually when he's near the sun, he's amped. But the whole point of the arc was that the sun was dying. That's the reason why he's heating the planet. And dying suns usually don't amp Superman. But the sun was still emitting yellow radiation. So whether or not he's amped by being close to the sun is unverifiable.
