No, it was just for that story arc. He still is weakened by magic. In that story arc, his S glowed to show he had some immunity to magic, but after it faded, it was just for that battle.
Another thing, the JL/U were good cartoons, but that's all they were, not written by good comic book writers, just people that like green.

That's nice but marvels punches are just punches, magic powered or not, the only magical power marvel has is to summon his lightning, and guess what, superman's faster than lightning.
And you took that scan completely out of context, he the magic superman s talking about is Zatana, who he remembered can heal him and get him back in the fight against Atlas.
a very common misunderstood aspect to superman is this whole MAGIC thing. superman is weak to it just like we are weak to a edge weapon. Just cause hes weak to it doesnt mean he will always loose to it. How many times has he defeated villians with kryptonite? MILLIONS of times. So lets not get out of hand here, yes marvel is a 100% match for superman and yes hes magic based but it doesnt mean he would win I feel superman just better enough to beat him.
superman is vulnerable to magic the reason he owned the match like he did was because captain marvel didnt really use his magic powers i liked it though when he held him up and said shazaam thought it was over when i saw that
Well supes does have the weakness towardness magic and all but why in comics do they usually make supes look like he is winning shouldn't CM when well anyways i found CM to be a cool character and he does have alot of potential.
I pick superman what defense does captain marvel have against heat vision and freeze breath...
I don't know but does superman look okay after taken these punches from captain marvel he looks fine to me. Also remember that superman knows captain marvel very well and he will avoid his punches at all costs because he knows what they can do. Also once again what defense does captain marvel have against heat vision that can heat up a planet.
