I havent been able to follow Captain Atom (or any DCNU series after 11) but till that time, he has just shown too many powers from size manipulation, to resurrection, to time manipulation, to reality warping, to given people powers and taking them away, transmutation. I think Cap can still take it, he's pretty much Dr. Manhattan with feats :p

captain atom is just short of a god now,which of course is BS,the most powerful he should be is Monarch level powerful.superman is the most powerful hero on earth who ismt a god,magical,or a bat character.

DC likes to make their characters to powerful(capt atom,flash,martian manhunter,batman)while using superman as the poster boy for bekng to powerful,even though his power levelshave been tapered off,while others power levels keep growing.

Yeah, giving it to C.A. but I'm confused; a bunch of characters are indicated to capable of beating Superman, then HellSpont shows up and says Superman is the most powerful Character on the planet. Even Batman once indicated that the whole JL might need to go after Superman one day.

But then they show Captain Atom having the potential to take down the whole JL. He was also shown to be on Flashes level of speed in terms of perception and casual movement. Superman is just below that even when forcing his concentration.

It could be the time sequences are off, but DC needs to stop fan-servicing and get a straight story.

Captain Atom is more of a God to Superman than Superman is a God to normal humans. The "Atom" in his name is vital. He is in control of the very matter superman is made of. This includes all matter(dark matter) and their enegy/interactions(quantum). He could simply make Superman agree with him by molding his mind, turn him into a stick by removing/introducing-rearranging his molecules. What gives superman his powers is his make up, atom is that very make up personified in a conscious embodiment. Superman punching atom would be like me punching a black hole... (T_T)
