Both New 52. Superman gets the Ion entity. It's a deep space death battle. Who wins?

Pretty sure Superman is stronger. New 52 Atom was awesome though. He had ridiculous feats in the respect thread.

New 52 Atom was pretty much reaching god levels. I doubt Superman could beat him in a fight

How does Captain Atom win. I don't think I've seen him use his level of power against someone with Superman's level of durability.

I thought the new Captain Atom is immortal due to being a pure form of energy...how does Supes win this againt someone he can not kill?...

No, it is one of seven emotional entities: Ion (form of will aka green lanterns), Parallax (form of fear aka Sinestro corp), Butcher (form of rage aka red lanterns), Predator (form of love aka Star Sapphires), Ophidian (form of greed aka Orange lanterns), Adara (form of hope aka blue lanterns), Proselyte (form of compassion aka Indigo Tribe) and of course, The Entitiy (form of life).

So, whoever gets "possessed" or something by one of them, ION in this instance, gets incredible power. Mind you, Sodam Yat DID have Ion in him, so you are still correct.

I think Ion easily gives Superman the edge. Without Ion, id say Atom, but Ion is a force of the universe in and of itself.

To my knowledge, while we were shown Atom's EVENTUAL omnipotence (last issue of his self named series if I recall), when he was last shown in comics, he hadnt reached that level. Correct me if im wrong though.

Its Atom no doubt. He can pull the "radiation" thing, so it means he can create kryptonite radiation. Thats a win. Worst case scenario he uses red sun radiation. Its an easy win for Atom.
