superman vs captain america

From the title you may be thinking this is a total stomp. However, there will be limitations for superman.

Supes will be without his super speed, strength, breath, and durability all limited to peak human

Cap will have standard gear

A second round will be made to determine who is the better leader and has the better morals

Morals are on and the fight takes place in the middle of time square with no bystanders

Why?

Also I feel this has been done before

Captain then, all he has is heat vision really and flight plus no fighting skill

Wait superman has heat vision here?

Cap, even if supes has HV, if he uses it he burns his peak human face off with the heat of the sun.

So Superman flys up and just drops Cap with HV.

Cap wins round 1. Superman's heat vision can be blocked by Captain America'a sheild.

Round 2 goes to Superman. He does a better job of leading the Justice League than Steve does of leading the Avengers

Supes got round 1 because of heat vison.

Cap got round 2 because he's the leader of the Avengers no matter what. DC gives the mantle of leader to the guy who sells the most books. In the N52, Batman is the leader...though he's going around punching everyone in sight in B&R that I'll be shocked if he's still the leader after this arc.

But I've seen Doomsday take Superman's heat vision

Only thing the caprine can do to superman is block attacks one superman flys above him and grabs his shield he is like an ant to superman

I think Cap is the better leader,but Superman still has flight,heat vision,and many other extensions of his powers for round 1

@superguy1591: well cap was able to block Thor's lightning. I see no reason he couldn't block superman's HV.

It's a joke I like to tell whenever I see someone get blasted at the end of a comic. "Don't worry, I bet he survived like that time Superman blasted Doomsday with his heat vision"

No. It's only against giving characters powers they can't control

Anyway logically, Superman still has Heat Vision & Flight and could just fly above cap and spam him with Heat Vision.

Supes still has Flight, Heat Vision, and his Healing Factor; Supes wins.

@superguy1591: yes but most metals have a higher melting point after they are manipulated by heat. And given that we don't know it's melting point and has already stood up to quit a bit of heat I don't see how we can just assume that it would melt from heat vision. I would assume that the vibranium would reflect it or just absorb it to a certain extreme extent. And remember this is morals on. I don't think great vision would be his first move and he's not looking to kill

@justthatkid: in the middle of time square? Superman tries his best not to cause so much destruction like that (even though it doesn't seem like that). Unless you're talking about just making a fire surrounding him then that won't work because caps suit is fire retardant.

If supes durability is on par with rogers then he definetly loses. He cant spam heat vision because being around that much heat would kill him. Fighting steve is a terrible idea for superman seeing as he has very little fighting skill. And superman get thwacked in the head with the sheild if he trys to fly. And captain america is the better leader def.
