@clark_el: I re-read some issues, and he did go to the sun and back SEEMINGLY quickly, so the calcs on that travel would suggest FTL.

This battle is really Superman VS Thor.

supes beats the other avengers in less than a second. then he throws thor into the sun.

@uugieboogie: Superman is currently able to travel at FTL speeds as seen in Red Hood and the outlaws issue 14, and is fast enough to tag Flash, as seen in issue # 2 of Justice League. Superman has also been shown to speed blitz on a few occasions as well one being Issue 20 of Superman when he was fighting Orion and another time in Superman issue # 27 where he again speedblitzed Parasite.

That being said Superman can avoid Thor's godblast and speedblitz him for the win.

Really just Superman vs Thor + Hulk. I think those two would be too much for him to handle

Too bad this isn't Bleeding Edge Iron Man. He may have actually been able to put up a good fight with Superman.

Either way, Thor could possibly beat him alone, so adding Iron Man (with or without his Bleeding Edge suit, as long as it's still Extremis at least) and Hulk just makes this a stomp.

Avengers win, either Thor or Hulk would give Supes a good fight, everybody else is a non factor though.

Superman stomp. I like these threads where they op says current version and a that moment in time your character might be de-powered so it changes the victory out come.

I am sure if this thread was made when the new 52 action comic one came this would have been the other way around.

He is stronger than all the Avengers, benching the weight of Earth for 5 days, pushing half of Brainiac's mother ship away which was 40 times the size of Earth, punches that shook the planet and felt all to the watch tower against H'El

He is massively FTL flew from Pluto to Earth in seconds, flew to the sun in under 5 minutes, tagged the Flash, speed blitzed Orion, Mongul etc

In morals off he can speed blitz all the Avengers before they could do anything, he can move much faster than they can even think and process their moves they would be like statues to him

Superman also has the durability and feats to hang with them such as surviving going through a few black holes in the Superman Doomed story + we have heat vision and freeze breath all those other abilities

Hulk gets thrown into orbit at super speeds or the sun, Thor gets speed blitzed with multiple "planet moving punches" before Thor himself can land one blow, Superman would see his moves like a frozen statue, the rest of the Avengers are non factors
