I've searched the boards...and have not found ANY topics on this...if there WAS one I didn't know and I am sorry...but I think it's a cool battle so here it goes.

Supreme:

Known Powers:

Superhuman strength, molecular adaptation to any threat, speed, stamina, durability, breath and vision,
Flight

Versus Modern Day Superman:

Known Superpowers:Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, invulnerability, senses, intelligence, regeneration, longevity, super breath, heat vision, x-ray vision, microscopic vision, telescopic vision, and flight

Rules:

1) Neither man knows about the other's weaknesses

2) Neither man has any knowledge of the other this is the first time they've met

3) CURRENT VERSIONS ONLY PLEASE...Don't want to hear about any Silver Age or Bronze Age versions thank you.

4) NOT a bloodlust battle...both men are acting on the current moral fibers they've always had based on the comic books

Battleground:  Metropolis

Scenerio:  Lex Luthor creates a portal to look into the Image dimension and finds Supreme, thinking his power is able to kill the Man of Steel he finds a way to teleport him into the DC Universe right into Metropolis. Superman goes to investigate as usual and a disoriented Supreme think he's responsible throws the first punch...all hell breaks loose after that...how does this end?

Think Silver Age Superman. That's basically what Supreme is.

Well, the one pictured is Alan Moore's version, which would wipe the floor with current Supes without breaking a sweat.

It all depends on what version of supreme.
No he was not on Silver age supes level. I use to collect all of his comic when it first came out and i liked the character but he is not on Silver age level. i dont recall him blowing no sun and sneezing out no solar systems not throwing around planets for fun . I am sure i dont recall him going to any time line at will or nor him having no Impossible speed feat. Till this day no comic character not even surfer Current nor past has his feat as a regular super hero.  As a matter a fact as strong as supreme is i am pretty sure Current Superman could give him a run for his money.

Problem with Supreme is that he was written to mimic Silver Age Supes. His power set includes an ability to develop and adapt to conquer whatever he faced, just like SA Supes, except that this ability was actually written into Supreme's story as being a molecular development instead of just randomly popping up the way it did with SA Supes. He's basically Superman/Surfer/Doomsday/The Fury/Darwin in one.

Why dispute Doomsday and not Fury, when Fury is basically a way more powerful Doomsday. Regardless, Supreme had adaptation powers similar to them.

I like Supreme, he decimated an earlier incarnation of Youngblood, in outerspace no less, but I've gotta give this one to Supes!!  He always finds a way to win, his determination is 2nd only to Captain America (or Batman).

Alan Moore's Supreme
Cover art to Supreme #41 (after Superman #1), the start of Alan Moore's run.
Art by Jerry Ordway.

Alan Moore
was asked by Rob Liefeld to write further adventures of Supreme. Moore agreed, on the condition that he could throw out everything previously done with the character, as he felt the comic was "not very good." Beginning with issue 41 of Supreme, Moore began retooling Supreme, using multiple layers of metafiction, with each issue containing commentary on storytelling, comics history in general, and the Superman mythos in particular. The clichés of the superhero genre were frequently used without Moore's characteristic deconstruction and sense of irony. He stated in interviews that it was also something of an apology, as he had become famous for deconstructing superhero characters in various dark ways.

The Story of the Year

Given free rein over the Supreme—and, indeed the wider Maximum (later Awesome) universe—Moore plotted one of his fabled dense storylines to revolutionise the Supreme universe. Drawing on the Silver Age Superman (and the boundless innovations of Silver Age greats such as Julius Schwartz, Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson in particular), Moore's Supreme both built-upon and ignored all the issues that had previously seen print, re-creating the character from his origin(s) up. Although the "Story of the Year" arc was intended to finish with a Silver-Age-evoking 80-Page Giant special issue, it was ultimately split into two parts: 52a and 52b. Nevertheless, the action (which included multiple flashbacks to 'earlier' Supreme stories/adventures, as well as pastiches of and references to a number of comicbook staples) tied together by #52 in a manner which saw the seeds sown in Moore's earliest issues addressed several issues later. (A common factor in much of his work, but especially seen in his later ABC titles Tom Strong and Promethea.)

Could I have some feats for Supreme? And what does molecular adaptation to any threat mean? That he develops new powers?

@ComicMan24:

molecular adaptation to any threat  : Basically what Doomsday did after he died only Supreme doesn't have to die for this to happen...if Superman gets stronger Supreme will be come stronger than him, if Superman uses his eyebeams, Supreme will become durable enough to deflect them, if Superman uses speed, Supreme will match that speed and probably become faster and so on and so on...did I get that right folks?

Superman has a better collection of strength, speed, and durability feats, accumulated over the years.

Supreme has battled Gladiator and Omni-Man to a stand-still in cross-overs, and while not canon, should give some indication of power scaling intended by the author(s). I mean, they really went waaaaay out of their way in both those fights to show they were evenly matched, on panel.

So, much like Glads or Omni-Man, I would put Supreme very near to, but not quite at Superman's level. I would say 90-95% of Superman's overall power.

I'd give the majority to Superman here, with high-diff, 6/10
