Actually guys, Even the Hulk from the Avengers can solo Superman. I just finished watching the Avengers and the Tesseract's power is 120 Million Kelvin not 700 Kelvin which is 216 million •F
- 8x hotter than the sun core of the sun and blast couldn't Kill Hulk.
Hulk, Thor, or Ironman can solo this new Superman and Superman returns Superman.
Bad Thread!!!!
@juiceboks: @gungunw: rumor is Superman isnt weak to kryptonite in the movie
@blackopsx21: is doom on the avengers now or is that kristoff. who are these avengers

Superman Returns is in continuity with Superman 1 and 2. On top of that...He was strong enough to lift an entire Island of Kryptonite.
Hey, what Happened to Hulk's whale feat ShawnBaby, I'm sure it wasn't just 200 tons was it? And how about Thor, if its true that the Returns Superman is a continuem of Reeve's Supes who is Pre-Crisis Superman, than by right a magical hit by Mojnir should be a one-shot win.
@boschepg: Aactually there is not kryptonite in the movie, from what I hear.

What does the temperature of the Tesseract have to do with anything?

Superman isn't actually weak to magic...he just has no protection from it so it affects him the same as it affects everyone else.
The Space Whale/Leviathan has no relevance here....nor do Thor and Mjolnir. First, nothing was said about movie versions and Second, the picture shown here doesn't even include Thor or Hulk anyway.
than by right a magical hit by Mojnir should be a one-shot win.
you know, most of the people agree to this. But the tough part is about actually hitting superman. He's faster than a bullet..

These days...most Street Levelers are faster than a bullet.

No they're not. I have yet to see a street leveler run at 300 m/s.
Aim dodging =/= speed/reflex.

Plenty of Street Levelers have feats of dodging and/or blocking shots after the bullet has been fired.
@shawnbaby: reacting to bullet =/= faster than bullet. Again, no street leveler runs at 300m per second.

Captain America says otherwise.

When did Hulk take a blast from the Tesseract? The closest he's ever been to it was when they were both in Manhattan, and the Tesseract wasn't blasting anything.
Also, Man of Steel hasn't come out yet so you have no way of knowing how powerful that version of Superman will be. (Superman Returns Supes should have no trouble with Hulk, Thor, or Iron Man, since he's the same as the Superman 1 and 2 Superman.)
@shawnbaby: The same way aang dodges lightening? At that level of speed, he could just have caught bullets. (or arrows, in aang's case)

makes a lot of sense.
Do you Know what thor is capable of cause earthly damage: Hurricanes Thunderstorms,Twisters, etc. and i think this video Will support my statement and is superman Immune to lightning as he is to bullets

I'm just saying...he crossed a room and deflected gun shots after they had been fired. I'm not saying it makes any kind of sense realistically...but that's the state of Comics today. Street Levelers can react to bullets after they have been fired. Daredevil, Batman, Captain America...all of them have plenty of examples of actual bonafide bullet dodging...not just aim dodging.

Tesseract based weapons
They couldn't have been tesseract based. The Chitauri didn't have access to the Tessaract, remember? Loki had to go steal it at the start of the movie, and then it stayed in his possession the whole time until Manhattan. There was no opportunity for the Chitauri to tap into it to power their weaponry, since we never saw any indication of it leaving Earth. In addition, the blasts themselves never seemed particularly powerful. They weren't even blasting through walls, so I don't see why you think they're so impressive. Even Black Widow tanked one, iirc. What makes you think they were tesseract based at all, and what makes you think they're particularly powerful?

I already stated earlier, Bruce Banner stated, " (Loki) He would have to heat the cube to 120 Million Kelvin..." There that proves its power!
Which is all well and good, but it doesn't address anything relevant. Hulk didn't tank a hit from a Tesseract blast, and you have no proof and really no reason to believe that the Chitauri were using Tesseract-based blasts when they hit him. The attacks they hit him with never showed anything like 120 Million Kelvin power levels, so I don't think it's that impressive of a feat.
Superman's op'd and we all know it. Even though the movie's show more feats for the Avengers, they don't show Superman of being incapable of... well, anything really. There's never been a reason to assume Movie Superman can't do everything the comic version can. The Avengers best bet is to Bfr him, which even if it does happen, Superman literally punches his way out of whatever dimension you drop him in. Dr. Doom might be able to hang, if he had prep. Otherwise team Avengers goes down..... pretty hard too.
