Could Otto defeat this winged vermin
superior spiderman vs Man Bat
Otto Curbstomps
Otto creates a cure for Langstrom whilst fighting him and a bunch of Man-Bat ninjas at the same time.
Poor Man-Bat.
:(
@devinwifi: That's a fairly inaccurate blanket statement. I can think of several Batman villains that could, in fact, go up against Spider-Man.
@thebourneposter: Like?
@devinwifi: Dr Phosphorous, Deathstroke, Clayface, Poison Ivy, Solomon Grundy (some incarnations) to name a few.

Deathstroke isn't really a batman villain. All though I do feel DC is slowly trying to have him transition into one. Neither is Grundy despite a few run ins.
@jashro44: I kind of think he is. And like you said, Batman and Grundy have had several run ins, but i suppose he is not really a Batman villain. The others still stand, though.

He's still a teen titans villain. Outside of comics in recent years he's been a batman villains but within comics there meetings take place basically decades apart. Deathstroke and batman have had very few interactions in comics (considering how long both characters have been around at least). All though as I said I do feel DC is trying to turn deathstroke into a batman villain it hasn't happened yet.

@jashro44: I can agree with that.

I dont know enough on the doctor
Slade would give him a good fight but spidey is superior in every way but h2h skill if slade had prep he would win.
Any clayface would go down hard since the current spidey carries crypto pellets which can freeze
spidey is too fast for ivy
and for grundy, spidey could easily handle him he constanly goes up against stronger and more durable foes. examples; Venom, Carnage, Scorpion Rhino, and he beat the juggernaut
He's pure energy, like living fire. So he would give Spider a good fight.
Exactly, a good fight, so he could go up against Spider-Man.
No he wouldn't, because cryo equipment doesn't work on Clayface anymore, he's grown too powerful. Batman had a suit designed for just that and it didn't work, he had to trap him in an energy cage.
Not if her spores affect him. Superman wasn't too fast for her, why would Ivy be?
Most of the incarnations Batman battles, yeah Spider-Man could beat.
@thebourneposter: Glad we came to a agreement :D
Otto wrecks. this thread should be locked up. @saren@god_spawn
@devinwifi: venom, Scorpion, Rhino are stronger amd more durable than Grundy? Grundy is a team buster & earth elementami.
Spiderman stomps really hard
Spiderman stomps really hard
@devinwifi: i know, but they are really not Grundy's lvl. Look on some other battle threats, there's "Hulk vs Grundy" "Superman vs Grundy" and there's alot of films who say that Grundy would take the win. But those are threats with Grubdy at his best.
The Grundy that is fighting Batman is a weaker form, but he would still take out Rhino or Venom.

The Grundy that batman fights would get wrecked by rhino or venom. The Grundy that fights superman would stomp but the points being discussed here are batman villains who could give spider-man a good fight. If we are using the Grundy that fights batman it wouldn't be close.
I would argue batmans freezing tech was working on clayface, he just ran out.
@devinwifi: every time Grundy is brought back from the dead he is reborn with a different personality and power level. Some can take Superman and the JSA other versions struggle with Batman.
@jashro44: Batman thinks to himself "All right Bruce, you tried solvent. You tried coolant. You tried everything that would have worked on the old Clayface." So obviously Batman didn't think it was working. It was freezing his extremities but not really having any lasting effect.
@radiostar_: ik but how does batman beat him
@drfate: grundy a power depends on the person he's fighting as he absorbs enery to boost himself
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: i said the exact same thing on another thread

Clayface was clearly concerned when batman tried the freezing solvent. Just look at his facial expression. That and the Collant allowed batman to escape clayfaces grip, which if it had no effect probably wouldn't have happened. The only area which seems frozen is clayfaces arm so clayface never did resist having his entire body frozen, at least not in the new 52.
@jashro44: I didn't say no effect, I said no lasting effect. It wasn't going to win him the fight. And Batman specifically says that it would have worked on the old Clayface, implying it wasn't working now.

It didn't have a lasting affect probably because clayface broke off the part of his body that was frozen and regrew his arm. Until someone tries freezing his entire body as far as I am concerned new 52 clayface can be affected by freezing.
