I didnt ignore it, and I wouldnt call it a "sucker punch". Yes, Spidey took the first punch, and it wasnt expected, but Wolverine was standing right in front looking at him, and Wolverine was the one who initiated the physical contact. All battles inevitably start with one side making the first move.
It makes a big differnce when you are facing an enemy as opposed to an ally. When Wolverine confronts Sabretooth...he's expecting a confrontation...and thus he isn't surprised when Creed attacks him. When he sees Spider-Man...he sees his friend and team-mate...when that friend and team-mate inexplicably attacks him...he's caught off-guard.
And, as I've said, everything Ock did in that battle is entirely in character. In a Comicvine battle...both sides are considered to be "at their best"...but still in character..unless specifically stated otherwise. So, yeah, Since Ock is in Character in this battle...Wolverine should do just fine again.
Wolverine isn't going to get caught flat-footed in this fight and he isn't fighting alone. He's fighting with 2 people that have also been shown to be able to tag Spider-Man... a more experienced Spider-Man. The advantage Ock has is that he does play a little rougher than Peter...but his Morals are still on...so he's going to at least try not to use lethal force at first. Ock isn't above a little brutality...but thus far, as Spider-Man, he's only actually killed once. He's trying to live by Peter's Credo of "Withe Great Power, comes Great Responsibility"...he just has a bit of a different take on the concept.
In the past, Wolverine and Spider-Man have had a few dust-ups. Sometimes Wolverine comes out the better...Sometimes Spider-Man does...they are pretty evenly matched. Where Spidey has Speed and Strength... Wolverine has Durability and Skill. Giving Wolverine Team-mates who have also been shown to be able to hit Spidey... and given Ock's relative inexperience as Spider-Man leads me to believe they can take a majority here.
