Spider-man takes it. He already humiliated Wolverine in about 3 panels. He takes Cap down relatively easily. Deadpool might give him some trouble but he takes him out too.

As much as the Spider-Fan-Boy in me wants to say the Superior Vs Wolverine showing was a legit interpretation of how the fight would go it isn't. Individually Superior could most likely beat everyone here (Logan giving him the biggest challenge). He might even take a small majority against Wolverine and one of the others if he plays it smart but honestly unless he has prep (or spams webbing which isn't something Superior does) he is not taking a majority against all three here in the slightest.

ock has no morals and that's why he would win fights that pete wouldn't. rips wolverine's throat out, puts a fist through cap, and repeats step 1 for deadpool. the man really doesn't play. let's see the look on caps face when spiderman doesn't have a mancrush on him anymore....

Everyone always talks about these three pages when they bring up "Superior Humiliating Wolverine"

Yet they always forget about what happened next:

Looks like Spidey humiliated Wolverine and then PIS took over. If he hadnt turned his back and started chatting he would have easily been able to continue the smackdown.

Thank you for this. You made the point better than I could have. People like to say 3 pages to take down wolverine and forget it took one page to return the favor.

That's not PIS. That's Otto's arrogance in thinking Wolverine would be so easily taken down. It's entirely In Character for Otto to act like that. He constantly underestimates his opponents.

Wolverine has also been able to tag Spider-Man in the past....so there's no PIS in him being able to do it again...especially with a less-experienced Spider-Man.

Fine, dont call it PIS then. Whatever you call it, Spider-Man humiliated Wolverine and then turned his back. Wolverine succeeded in getting the upper hand only because his opponent wasnt looking at him, or even paying any attention to him, and was busy talking to someone else at the time. Now, I'm sure if we have a battle with that setup... Wolverine will do just fine.

And yet you completely disregard that Spider-Man took initiative with a sucker punch. Really, all it shows is how well Superior does against a Wolverine that doesn't expect to be attacked. Now, If we have a battle with that setup...Superior will do just fine. Until he realizes he simply doesn't have the power to put Wolverine down physically.

Superior humiliated himself by not making sure his opponent was down and out before turning his back...and then again by assuming that Wolverine just wasn't fast enough to ever touch him.

I didnt ignore it, and I wouldnt call it a "sucker punch". Yes, Spidey took the first punch, and it wasnt expected, but Wolverine was standing right in front looking at him, and Wolverine was the one who initiated the physical contact. All battles inevitably start with one side making the first move.

It makes a big differnce when you are facing an enemy as opposed to an ally. When Wolverine confronts Sabretooth...he's expecting a confrontation...and thus he isn't surprised when Creed attacks him. When he sees Spider-Man...he sees his friend and team-mate...when that friend and team-mate inexplicably attacks him...he's caught off-guard.

And, as I've said, everything Ock did in that battle is entirely in character. In a Comicvine battle...both sides are considered to be "at their best"...but still in character..unless specifically stated otherwise. So, yeah, Since Ock is in Character in this battle...Wolverine should do just fine again.

Wolverine isn't going to get caught flat-footed in this fight and he isn't fighting alone. He's fighting with 2 people that have also been shown to be able to tag Spider-Man... a more experienced Spider-Man. The advantage Ock has is that he does play a little rougher than Peter...but his Morals are still on...so he's going to at least try not to use lethal force at first. Ock isn't above a little brutality...but thus far, as Spider-Man, he's only actually killed once. He's trying to live by Peter's Credo of "Withe Great Power, comes Great Responsibility"...he just has a bit of a different take on the concept.

In the past, Wolverine and Spider-Man have had a few dust-ups. Sometimes Wolverine comes out the better...Sometimes Spider-Man does...they are pretty evenly matched. Where Spidey has Speed and Strength... Wolverine has Durability and Skill. Giving Wolverine Team-mates who have also been shown to be able to hit Spidey... and given Ock's relative inexperience as Spider-Man leads me to believe they can take a majority here.

Spidey does the same thing he did in the comic. then webs him up to keep him down. also it looks like Wolverine is KO'ed in the pic. In this battle you win by KO. so once Logan is KOéd he is not allowed to fight anymore. Spidey Takes This

He looks like he is knocked out. not moving, not speaking. he came back but AFTER he was KOéd.
