bit suprised here, thanos traded blows with odin while he hit thanos with pretty much everything and still couldnt put thanos down,is superboy prime that far above odin?

Yes, he is. He was a multiversal? threat and it took a literal cubic buttload of the DCU's strongest heroes to finally beat him
SB Prime is best equated to an insane, bloodlusted Superman on hyper steroids...
Thanos gets massacred here, unless he somehow manages to get the IG again out of thin air before SB Prime blitzes him
Did you really have to add the "blood lusted, no morals part"? Lol Have you ever seen any of the two show anything but that in the comics?
@CapitolPunishment: relax its only abit of info, and yes thanos is cool and calm alot of the time while planning his ideas on the universe etc etc. even in battle hes a thinker, not a mindless bloodlusted idiot.
Thanos easily.Way too smart/cunning for the emo boy,he can just mindrape him, just raises his shields and prime has nothing against him. He has beaten FTL heroes without a problem(surfer, fallen one).
Anyway he can exploit Prime's weaknesses and kill him.
@ FantasticMrFox....I don't think this fight would be as easy for the Mad Titan. For one his sheilds while strong wouldn't hold back Prime, as he smashed thru a construct created by damn-near the entire Green Lantern Corp. I don't think Thanos could out muscle Prime either and Prime's speed could give Thanos trouble. If Thanos wins in anyway it would be via his telepathy...imo this fight could go either way and it wouldn't be an easy win no matter who's standing last

Thanos' Shield tanked Blasts from a Well Fed Galactus, Omega and Champion with the Power Gem. I'd say his shields stand a good chance.
Edit- I better change my AV to sound less biased.
Wow Thanos is being so under-played here , well f#$% you Bendis.
I think Thanos has a fair chance of winning, if anything i would give Thanos a better odd.
1. While Thanos does not have superspeed on his arsenal, he has enhanced reflexs.
2. Unless Prime blitzes him with like 100 or 1000 punches he isnt taking down Thanos as easily as people think. Not to mention Prime has no showing to actually show he is capable of blitzing.
3. Thanos shield can not only hold up to prime onslaught, he has shield that dissolve your molecule by touching, one shield and Prime would be in trouble, and there is nothing that shows PRime is capable of taking down Thanos before he can put up a shield, specially given Thanos has never been knocked out by Physical punches and kicks till date, he has been hurt yes, never knocked out.
4. Prime has absolutely no answer to Thanos telepathy, time sync wrap or death stare (they are all some exotic version of telepathy). If his telepathy works on Moondragon and Adam Warlock's dark counter part Magus, i see no reason why it wouldnt hold on for PRime.
5. Thanos, at his best, without any amp, can actually KO Superboy with a energy blast. He killed Rot with a blast that made the universe scream, he has matched the energy output of In BEtween a Galactus level beings, he was capable of ragdolling Galactus with but one blast (albiet himself admitted he couldnt hurt him).
@Killemall: Just because he "spun around in a circle", doesn't mean it's not a blitz. He hit three Flashes consecutively. That was the point in showcasing his speed, by having him counter-act them, then retort with "I'mFastToo". That, coupled with the first scan(of him subduing Power Girl), it wouldn't exactly be a stretch to assume that under the stipulation of "bloodlust", that it's a viable tactic for Prime to employ(speed-blitzing).

From the way it's drawn, it seems that he's just spinning in a circle. That tactic still doesn't prove he's a blitzer.

@Lvenger: A "blitz" is described as a "swift and overwhelming attack". Prime's attack was 'swift', and it overwhelmed his attackers(at least temporarily).
I think you misunderstand, what me and Lvenger is asking is, where is the proof that prime can jump at someone, before they can react and punch them say a 100 times, coz nothing sort of that is going to prevent Thanos from putting up his shield and finishing this with telepathy.
The way it was drawn, he did not know where the attack was coming from, he couldnt dodge, he couldnt counter, so all he did was spun around hitting anything he gets. Much like a very strong guy spinning around a metal chain as fast as he can in hopes of blocking anything thrown at him.

This is what I'm asking as well.
@XiiX: He actually doesnt have any sort of good reaction speed showing apart from travel speed which is weird. We would expect him to be as fast as Superman, which lets face is, is leagues and bounds faster than Thanos. The problem is while Thanos has no superspeed so to speak up, he has had his reflexes enchanced and has some neat feats, like being able to dodge a blitzing surfer, being able to stop Thor's hammer thrown from a short distance, being able to counter a blitz from Gwyen with a back hand pimpslap (oh yeah!) , when in the same series she ran circles around silver surfer. So its hard to make a case for Prime to blitz him.
Blitzing Thanos is not going to be easy for most people. Starlin kind of took care of that.
