Regardless of how a battle would actually go down, that fight was awesome to watch.

The actors were really good!

I doubt batman would walk out in the open and confront Vader. He would break free superman and superman would blow a hole in death star and safely land it on a planet. Where lanterns will capture them and take them in. Sinestro will give vader a yellow ring, and vader will bring havok on every one. Then....

LOl! Of course it was silly. It was cool at the same time. By the way people, why is it so dumb that Batman can hold his own in a lightsaber fight. He is a martial artist and familiar in all forms of hand to hand combat, and melee weapons. So no it was not silly. By the way Batman is smart enough to run off in the jet, not get his neck snapped. Or actually I can see Vader letting him live. The Dark Lord does have a hint of honor in him. I can see Vader giving the same amount of respect that he would give Boba Fett.

Because

1. Force Connection is required to use a lightsaber properly in fast paced lightsaber combat, which Bats doesn't have. The blade is more dangerous to Bats than it is to Vader.

2. Vader is a far superior blademaster compared to Bats and is faster.

That was awesome. Glad Vader won. It would've ended quicker but I did like the fight.

Vader won, didn't he? A video where Vader decapitates Bruce in 4 seconds won't be very entertaining.

I'm not saying it wasn't entertaining, or that I'd want that.

Well as said above an EMP and an electrical attack aren´t the same. Also Batman was prepared and he came with an emp specifically capable to damage Darth Vader's armor. Also That Batman exists in a Universe where he knew that lightsabers existed and he wanted to use it against Vader. So it is fair to say that he had some knowledge on how to use it properly. The only thing that is bit problematic to me is that Vader had to use all of his Force ability to keep himself alive, one would think that he has enough power to do so and to destroy Batman at the same time.

I never quite understood why it is supposedly "required" that a person be a Force user to be able to "wield a lightsaber properly." Like any other sword with a sharp blade, um... just don't cut yourself with it, lol. Obviously, a lightsaber is sharper than your average blade, and you probably won't be doing everything with it that a Force user can do, but the underlying point remains - a sword is a sword. Of course Batman shouldn't be pulling off crazy Jedi maneuvers with it, and he didn't here.

That said, Batman is himself a master swordsman, it's apparent he had some prep time in this scenario (rescue mission), and Vader had to concentrate his Force powers on sustaining himself rather than on his blade technique, so the saber duel wasn't really that far-fetched.

My first impression after watching the video was that they downplayed Vader, and maybe they did slightly. However, I think Batman was also downplayed a bit. (He's just going to sit there in the batplane while Vader is ripping it apart, really? He's going to give Vader time to recover after using the EMP, really? Questionable decisions from the master of deduction.)

This was fun, and finally Batman doesn't win everything. I love me some Bats but realistically, even he has off days. I do like how they evened the playing field, and how they demonstrated Bat's ability to know about his opponent. But in the end he did underestimate Vader.

Also some ideas for episodes of SPBD that I've had are Daredevil vs Batman, Moon Knight Vs Batman, Nightwing vs DD, Deathstroke vs Deadpool, Bullseye vs Deadshot, Lady Shiva vs Elektra, Catwoman Vs Black Cat, Dr. Strange Vs Dr. Fate, Superman vs Blue Marvel or Sentry, and Iron Man vs Steel.

What a fight, Bats lasted longer due to them watering down Vader; he was swinging far too widely. But oh well, can't complain 'cause he won it :)

Don't know why Vader toyed with the guy so long. Should have snapped his neck at the beginning. But I guess that wouldn't have been as funny as seeing Batman pull out a lightsaber.

Since when is the force a necessity in wielding a lightsaber?

@theocitylegend: Since canon?...Sure a regular person could pick up a saber and train with it, it'll take a lifetime to master if they can get that far without maiming or killing themselves, but they won't be going very far with it like Jedi can, they aren't going to be doing any crazy lightsaber maneuvers, blocking blaster shots or be able to fight a fully trained Jedi/Sith.

There should be a Batman/Vader team up. Might'v been possible if WB bought Star Wars instead of Disney.
