Suicide Squad vs Team Marvel

Deathstroke & Black Manta just joined the SS, and just in time, because Dr. Doom hires them to take out the Marvel Team.

Suicide Squad: Deathstroke, Black Manta , Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Amanda Waller, Harley Quinn

Team Marvel: Captain America, Daredevil, Wolverine, Black Panther, Hawk-eye, Iron Fist (No Chi)

No BFR

Battlefield: At night at New York Harbor

Round 1. No prep

Round 2. Both have a day of prep

I'll back the guy that tussles with aquaman

@pr0metheus: Wolverine could beat Aquaman. Hell so could Black Panther..

@juiceboks: Black Manta fights Aquaman, but isn't he in actuality considerably below Aquaman? I'm not knowledgeable on Aquaman and his rogues at all.

@granitesoldier: The way I understand it, Black Manta's armor allows him to take some of his hits and his lasers allow him to hurt Aquaman. I don't think BM has the potential to beat Arthur in a straight up fight if both were going all out. Kinda like Mr.Freeze and Batman.

@captainbatman Well the fact of the matter is both are more than capable of oneshotting Arthur and are fast and skilled enough to avoid his blows.

The Marvel Team. Cap alone will give Slade problems. Manta tussles with Aquaman, but so what? He's not on par with him physically, Wolverine or Panther could probably take him. Waller's cannon fodder. DD takes down Harley, Deadshot might draw with Hawkeye at best.

Then you have Iron Fist goin' around decking people. Maybe if King Shark was in this, it would be closer.

Round 1: Marvel Team, but not with ease

Round 2: Prep goes in favor of Suicide Squad, so they win.

BM's harpoons pierce Vibranium armor and his wide berth heat blasts are dangerous to all of team 2. Deadshot has better range than all of team 2, Assuming nobody looks like his dead brother, team 2 takes solid losses before the fight begins for them.

Canary was close to bloodlusted. Waller wasn't even going hard.

Not really..James' powerset directly counters Arthur's. Wolverine isn't fighting anything he hasn't stood up against dozens of times.

op didn't say what versions, so that means current, and thus,

wolverine has no healing factor, so he's not as much of an asset as he could be

@dondave: Hawkeye or Cap? A not bloodlusted Dinah destroyed a whole concrete pavement with her cry. In anothet showing she sent over a dozen men flying like rag dolls. Over 50ft. Cap would be destroyed against her.

Not in the New 52. She's nowhere near as skilled as her Pre-52 self.

@juiceboks: wolverine or Black Panther are simply not one shotting Arthur that's ridiculous.

Why is it ridiculous? Wolverine claws have stabbed right through more durable characters like Thanos and Thor, and Black Panther's daggers have gone right through Ultron and into his brain(or whatever mechanism acts as it). Both have the capacity to take him out in one go the way I see it.

@juiceboks: because he's way stronger than they are and could arguably turn them to paste if he wanted.

@dark_passenger He's also slower and much less skilled than they are. And both have the durability to withstand at least a couple hits from him(both have tanked hits from characters of comparable strength levels). I'm just saying they can put him down quite easily if it came to it.

@juiceboks: I'm just saying it wouldn't be easy. His trident has stabbed through Darkseid, he has torn threw buses like they were paper and threw said bus like a rock, taken a blast of lightning that had earlier taken down most of the League. You have a fair point about the speed, but they aren't miles ahead of him in this department.

You're right it probably wouldn't be, but a trident isn't a very good weapon against two characters who are faster than Arthur as the only way you can really inflict damage with it by the three points at the end of it. Both T'Challa and James could just sidestep it and honestly could cut it into pieces with their respective claws.

@juiceboks: I seriously doubt they're cutting that trident it's one of the artifacts of Atlantis. At any rate I'll stop derailing the thread apologies, I just strongly disagree

@dark_passenger I know it's an artifact, but that doesn't mean anything in terms of a battle setting. By feats James' claws are more durable and Black Panther's claws are anti-metal and have cut through adamantium.

Aquaman is not faster than they are. His best speed feat is bumrushing WW when she wasn't trying to fight him..which is travel speed not combat-speed. On land he hasn't shown any superhuman reflexes or anything like that.

Did she really take that big a dive in the new 52? Like is there evidence she is a top tier fighter or does she just not have the feats?

I'm not arguing she should be assumed to be as skilled as her pre new 52 self I'm just curious....

He "blitzed" her in the same sense that he hit Superman before he could react.

Neither one was expecting him to turn on them, and they were taken by surprise because of it. That doesn't make him as fast as they are..

Neither is Aquaman if she's seriously fighting him.

Certain incarnations of Hulk yes. And he has..multiple times.

Black Panther with a day of prep just made Manta, Deadshot, and some of deathstrokes weapons and tech useless
