Sub Zero can deal with Kabal who can also blitz and has superhuman speed. Kabal's H2H skills are also far beyond Cullen's. The vampire has nothing that Sub Zero hasn't dealt with before. This is a bit of a stomp for Sub Zero.

If they have never fought, how do we know Subs could keep up?

Sub-Zero's best speed feats are dodging missles, so about Mach 1ish. That, plus his ice manipulation (To slick the ground and such.) may allow him to avoid getting completely blitzed. After that it's all about actually hurting Edward though, which is unlikely. While he eventually could, it would take a couple shots to actually put him down. And Edward will most likely catch and kill Subs before that happens, since he can pretty much one shot.

I'll admit this is a better fight than I first thought though.

I'm talking about league in MK, Kabal is still several league below Sub-Zero. But he was at least supersonic. Sub-Zero also dealt with a guy that can easily teleport behind him and stab him in the back.

@khael: That doesn't make Sub-Zero anywhere near as fast as Kabal. Unless he directly fights and reacts to him, you can't not claim he wouldn't get blitzed.

Just because he's more powerful, doesn't mean he faster. Is Hulk faster than Flash because he is a lot stronger? No.

Why couldn't Edward dodge? All of Sub-Zero's attacks require direct touch or an ice ball, so Edward has the speed to completely avoid that. Or he could break out of the ice, since he's about a 2 tonner.

Is there a specific Mortal Kombat canon we follow for the MK fights (I'm genuinly asking, not trying to be snide). I've always just assumed that everyone playable in the game has the capability of beating everyone else who is playable in the game with an "any given Sunday" type of logic, so I just assume Zero has a way of dealing with blitz's and teleporting foes and that those aren't instant wins since he would normally encounter with them in the game.

@khael: Scorpion? Scorpion never dodged lightning, he avoided Raiden's "aim" with teleportation. Nor has Sub-Zero beat Scorpion in recent years.

Sub Zero stomps. He has teleportation, is stronger, and is substantially more skilled. All he has to do is freeze Cullen and he is finished.
