I dont know if this has been done but who would win. Ryu only gets to use his dragon sword like he does in most of is cutscenes.

Strider Hiryu VS Ryu Hayabusa.
"T.J. Magnum said:"wait i forget what game is hayabusa from ?"
Ninja Gaiden."
had a hunch that he was
strider relies on tech whereas ryu relies on magic... both in a swordfight might be a really good match up, but i believe in the end the better swordmaster would be strider. ryu; does have a major ability to win though, and that's through his ninja magic with the combination of the dragon sword.

So, Strider gets all of his tech, but Ryu gets only his sword? Isn't that a little unfair?

Strider is a ninja of the future though. But ninja more or less, he should have some magical aspects.
"Would it matter. Strider would still win. This is one guy you don't want to mess with.If Ryu had all of his magic, he would win. Magic would beat technology anyday...
"
Lionheart, what would you choose? A powerful magic fireball attack that could destroy robots, or a robot at your command? LOL. Would you have a True Dragon Sword imbued with magic that never breaks, or a Cypher Blade? Would you rather have the ability to strike multiple enemies with magical bolts of lightning all at once, or attack with robotic panthers? You decide. And, also, your magic ninpo attacks leave you invincible while you do them. :)
Strider is one bad @$$ ninja, but in terms of being a ninja (strength, speed, agility, swordsmanship, etc), he's no different from Ryu. The only thing that sets him apart from Ryu is his use of technology (the robotic animals, the sword, and the droids that shield him/attack for him for a limited time). But, as for Ryu, who wields a magic ninja sword, other melee weapons, a bow and arrows of different kinds, explosive shurikens, a windmill shuriken, and has magical attacks at his disposal:
The Art of the Inferno = (fire element)
The Art of the Ice Storm = (ice element)
The Art of the Inazuma = (lightning element)
The Art of the Fire Wheels = (fire element)
The Art of the Hurricane = (wind element)
The Art of Divine Life = (heals himself)
The Art of the Piercing Void = (summons meteors to attack all enemies)
The Art of the Wind Blades = (wind element)
The Art of the Flame Phoenix = (fire element)
With all of this, how could Strider's Technology mess with this? But, anyway, the OP has the fight set to where Ryu only has his sword.
Like I said, it's an unfair fight....
"I never said he couldnt use magic. But as a said its during Cut scenes in which he only uses the DS.Well, if he has his magic, he wins....
"
I have the PSX game. I know what Strider can do. But, I don't think Ryu's sword can break. It's a magic sword, it's not an ordinary ninjato. Also, how fast Strider slashes doesn't change anything. Ryu can block gunfire, and probably dodge it. So, what's to stop him from blocking Strider's attacks? And, what defense does Strider have against Ryu's ninpo?

LOL. Face it. Ryu Hayabusa is the greatest ninja there is in pop culture. Hell, Joe Musashi could beat Strider. Ninpo is his advantage against Strider's technology.

Strider has more powerful attacks and weapons...I just can't find anything that proves that right now and I don't feel like playing the game.

This would be a great and long fight, but Static; you've already set your mind on Ryu due to him having magic.... Soo.... I i just wanted to hear your fair share of Ryu against Rikimaru of Tenchu.

Ryu would own him, too. From what I've played, Ryu seems to be faster that Rikimaru, and better skilled with the ninjato. I say that because Rikimaru has a limited amount of combos. Ryu, on the other hand, has more combos than he does. Then, there's the Magic. I have only seen one magic attack from Rikimaru and that was the Wrath of Heaven, but that only worked on the last boss. Ryu's magic would own here.
