Luffy vs Natsu- Luffy should win due to speed and reflexes but not easily

Chopper vs Happy- Chopper wrecks

Robin vs Erza- Erza, she is much stronger and her Requips give her the versatility advantage

Nami vs Lucy- Lucy wins via summons and her summons would overwhelm Nami

Sanji vs Gray- Gray wins. He is much more tactical and clever also Sanji has no answer for his ice abilities

Zoro vs Laxus- Laxus slaughters and then turns Zoro into ash, Zoro is very strong as well as fast but Laxus is a lot more durable as well as aggressive in regards to combat

Franky vs Gajeel- Gajeel should win, he`s the better combatant

Usopp vs Gildarts- Gildarts one shots Usopp

Brook vs Freed- Freed should win, I don`t think Brook has an answer or counter for his abilities

Sanji vs Gray - Gray has been shown to freeze fire so Diablo Jambe won't help too much. Round One is close but with Ice Make Unlimited for Round two Gray can take that one.

Zoro vs Laxus - Laxus goes into lightning form and wrecks, or Laxus uses Fairy Law.

Franky vs Gajeel - Pre Timeskip Gajeel beats Frankie, Current Gajeel murders Frankie.

Usopp vs Gildarts - Gildarts no question.

Brook vs Freed - Freed morals wins Pro Timeskip, and Post time skip Freed has zero showings so that automatically goes to Brooke.

Luffy vs Natsu - Really guys? Luffy wins this easily in a stomp, all around better everything matched up with precog.

Chopper vs Happy - Chopper can actually fight.

Robin vs Erza - A stomp in Erza's favor, probably a speed blitz.

Nami vs Lucy - Lucy because of her stronger keys like Loki.

Sanji vs Gray - Sanji in a stomp, way better physical stats.

Zoro vs Laxus - Zoro but it would be interesting to see how this plays out.

Franky vs Gajeel - I'm thinking Gajeel on this one, but I don't believe it's that much of a stomp.

@neongamewave: Hate to bump this, but why in the hell is erza winning against robin in any of these. EVERY one says erza ... as powerful as she is ... she is out matched here. "clutch" and erza is dead.

Robin is the only one piece pirate in the series that kills constantly and no one cares.

Minus laxus or gajeel who could use preventive measures against this no one on fairy tail is beating a non moral Robin as she instant kills them via neck snap aka clutch.

The OBD while not as nice(and by nice I mean member friendly) Comicvine, has plenty of good debaters. And unless Erza knows about her powers beforehand, she is getting all her joints snapped, simple as that. Erza may be a walking ass pull, but she isn't going to forsee hands sprouting from her shoulders and snapping her neck.

I agree with this minus one thing.

Lucy should take nami quite handedly. Lucy has ridiculous potential but she is always used as a plot device so natsu has to come to her rescue. In the tournament she made a clone of her and was about to use some ridiculous power that would probably destroy Nami and her weather staff.

The only way Nami would win this if she went straight to lighting attack but that takes time to setup, Lucy should have the time to do her summons take out nami.

I would argue even w/ prep erza would lose to robin. I can't recall any requip erza has used that would be a good defense for instant arms coming out of her body and breaking her bones, or even just holding her so she cant move. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

And freed would stomp brook.

@sandiego008: I would agree that Lucy post timeskip is an easy win but if i remember correctly she didn't have that many powerful keys pre timeskip or at least any that could defend against Nami's weather attacks

and in retrospect i would agree that Erza loses no matter the prep against robin

Robin vs Erza- If there are no morals and they know nothing about each other I say robin she just snaps her neck both times

Nami vs Lucy - I say nami loses round one but after the time skip shes mich better amd can fire off lighting like its nothing and she might have summonings but that doesn't protect her actual body and namis attacks are mostly for attacking multiple targets

Sanji vs Gray- Sanji destroys gray out of just pure physical strength I doubt gray could stand after one full powered kick from sanji and his ice attacks wouldnt do much since sanji is quick and stupid durable I say the only way gray wins is with that suicide move his master used

Zoro vs laxus- I mostly say its a tie because zoro has no way to defend against the lightning but he's the most durable in the group (thriller bark for example) and laxus can be cut so I say they do crazy amounts of damage to each other before they both fall and I would say laxus because of that fairy law move but it takes a while to use and one piece characters aren't like most animes where they just sit there and watch you power up your getting attacked in the middle of whatever

Franky vs Gajeel- The first round I'd give it to gajeel but round two I don't know much about gajeels time skip abilities but frankys has the radical beam which moves at light speed and I haven't seen gajeel move quickly enough to dodge any thing like that on top of coup de burst and its true he eats metal but its not like franky is going to sit there and watch him chew away at his arm

Usopp vs gildharts- horrible mismatch

Brook vs freed- ill give it to freed the first round but I say brook destroys him post time skip mostly die to the fact he can move so fast you don't even realize he's cut you like five Times and freed has not demonstrated any speed on this level on top of the fact that it would freeze him on top of cutting him

Luffy vs Natsu - Luffy wins both rounds. Luffy can already use Conqueror's Haki before the timeskip.

Chopper vs Happy - Chopper wins both rounds, Happy isn't even close to FT's Top 9.

Robin vs Erza - I'd have to give it to Erza. She could just chop Robin's Hana Hanas off, assuming Erza notices it first and reacts accordingly since she has good reaction time anyway. Plus, Erza can make like a hundred or two swords rain (Fighting Festival arc), there's no way Robin can dodge all those swords and fight Erza at the same time. -imo

Nami vs Lucy - Lucy wins both rounds. Nami's thunderbolt attacks take waaay too long to prepare. Lucy can always hide inside Horologium, dunno why she doesn't though, it's a good defensive countermeasure if you ask me.

Sanji vs Gray - Sanji wins both rounds. Sanji's Diable Jamble can melt through Gray's ice. Actually, Sanji's kicks alone can probably break Gray's ice.

Zoro vs Laxus - I'll give it to Laxus for the first round, since Zoro can't defend himself from lightning, but Zoro owns Laxus after the time skip, simply because he can dodge and strike back with Haki.

Franky vs Gajeel - Gajeel wins first round but loses to Franky in the second round since Franky has lasers and rockets and General Franky, unless Gajeel eats the general xD.

Usopp vs Gildarts - You kiddin me?

Brook vs Freed - Brook both rounds. Brook can slice his enemy without them even noticing.

*WHY THE HELL IS MIRA NOT INCLUDED??? She could have been paired with brook, since they're both demons (right before the timeskip, Brook is technically a demon xD) and it would have been a better match. Plus, Mira is an S-Class mage for goodness' sake, she atleast deserves a place in FT's top 9.

*Also, Chopper vs Elfman would have been a better match, than Chopper vs Happy.

The M3 solos the guild. The speed gap is immense. Luffy has enough DC to take out Natsu, Natsu lacks the speed to even graze Luffy. Same thing goes for Laxus and Gray.

@hayate_army: LMFAO. Luffy's been punching sea monsters since chapter 1. He knocked out the Kraken with a punch underwater, where he's weakened. The Kraken is huge as well.
The Demon that Natsu punched was trash. Town level crap. Luffy has superior DC and is MUCH MUCH MUCH faster than Natsu. Luffy shitstompsroflblitzes Natsu.
