@Son Of Storm: I never understood why Cable at full power is X-Man at full power, but the difference is X-Man lacks those natural blockades, that prevent him from burning himself out and killing himself, and Cable has those natural blockades. Mr. Sinister removed X-Man's natural blockades. This means that X-Man at full power should be more powerful than Cable at full power. However, it turned out that Cable at full power burned out, even though Cable has the natural blockades that prevent himself from burning out. And Cable at full power is X-Man at full power. The tattoo doesn't keep Nate from burning out, it keeps him from burning up, too much power for his body to handle, it's the way he was built to be consumed by his power, the tattoo stops that. Cable buring out can be for several reasons, the most obvious being that Marvel realized how boring Nate had become, being so powerful, and didn't want Cable sharing the same fate, other theories, Cable having to always hold back the TO virus and a lot of his body being replaced by cybernetics, his body was just not used to that much power being able to run free or maybe he had a little bit of what Darth Vader had and doesn't have enough organic tissue to house the power, another theory (keep in mind these are my theories) Cables adavanced age, he is older than his father, his full powers were released when he was past his prime, much in the same way Magnetos age played a part in his power starting to fizzle out, or how Storm lost her mutant abilities all together in Limbo due to her advanced age. Just something to think about since there is really no clear reason, I for one thinks it just because he is not an omega and although he could access what appeared to be unlimited power, he just wasn't bulit to contain it for long, like alot of mutants. Oh yeah and then there is the subconscious blocks theory, his mind caused him to burn out for whatever unknown mental reason, the future he grew up inProxy-Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0 0the Dark Phoenix was a bedtime story to frighten young telepaths, maybe somehwere deep inside his inner child held the power back as not to be corrupted by the power and keep the "fairytale" from coming true. @cracks: If Cable was effected by the TO virus, and I would assume from this that he was not at the full power level, then I think Storm would definitely own him in a one-on-one fight.
@cracks: I thought the original posting said he didn't have the TO virus??? If he does have the virus, he would not be at a power level to beat Storm. And yes, I think that the metal on his arm will make him more vulnerable to her eletricity based powers. She would beat Cable as he is now in comics, but without the TO virus, and at his full power, he would be far too powerful for Storm.

Using TK to toss her in to the sun seems like a fairly decent plan. Especially since that version of Storm lost to lesser characters. "
Toss her into the sun? If Cable is full TK Cable, he should be able to break down things down on the molecular level using his TK. Rachel can do it now. Before she couldn't manage it, but she learned watching Jean. And Rachel should be a good deal weaker than Cable at his best.
Now that's not to say that Cable instantly knows that use of his tk, but well and truly he's experienced enough with tk that he should have that truck up his sleeve.
