In Savage Land
5 miles apart.
Human Torch has no cosmic rod.
Who will win?

The X-men have a shot here. They know the Savage Lands better than the FF and if they use guerilla tactics then they can potentially win. They have the power and the strategic know-how to get the job done. BUT if this comes down to an open fight then the FF take it. Sue would beat them on her own.

So the 5 miles distance doesn't really matter?
How many blasts can Sue shield's take? I recall Hulk punching them and eventually getting to her and killing her in Age of X.
@CitizenBane: I realized it is non-canon, but are the power levels consistent? you still answer my original question which is how many blasts can her shields take? If Scott and Storm through everything at them, might it be destroyed?

If it's non-canon, why bother posting it as part of an argument? Her shields have taken lightning blasts from Ragnarok, held the explosion of a gamma bomb and a nova from Johnny Storm. She recently restrained Doom and Thing when they tried to fight without breaking a sweat. In Enemy of the State she brought Logan to his knees with a wave of her hand, and he is far more durable than either of these two, with a healing factor to boot.
Fantastic Four; they have a really good mix of skills, powersets and feats, so their teamwork and potential are unparalleled. Plus they have more experience.
Hmmm. I think Storm and cyke could take them.. It wouldn't be an easy win, but I think they would come out on top 8/10.
I honestly don't see Cyclops and storm on the same level as the Fantastic Four... They've plowed through tougher opponents than these two.

true, but the same can be said for Storm and cyke... it goes both ways..
FF.
Cyclops's optic blast will not get through Sue's shields and neither will any of Storm's offensive abilities. It's stood up to attacks from Ragnarok, Johnny Storm going Nova, a slightly de-powered Terrax, while Sue has created some creative moves using her abilities.
At a push you could argue Sue solos.
The only chance the x-men have is if they have a sniper rifle and kill Sue before she even knows what's happening.
The five miles makes all the difference@Ferro Vida said:

lmao! XD exactly what I was thinking.
Only if the Four can find the X-men. The distance between them give Cyclops and Storm a fighting chance.Scott has got the tactics of fighting down, but I the Four take this. Like it was said earlier Sue is the reason the x-men will fail.
Yeah, I agree the distance make this an interesting fight. Storm could actually take out 3 of their memeber in 2 seconds. Only the Thing is durable enough to withstand an out the blue lightning bolt or air removal. If she can hit a jet on the other side of the planet, she can hit four people walking in the Savage Land.(unless written by Fraction) This might be a win for the X-Men. Waiting to see if anyone can convince me otherwise.
@Ferro Vida: Fair enough. but I think the four would stick together, finding a reason or a way to split up the team is the only way Scott and Storm have a chance. I'm not sure how they would accomplish that and if they were to try I don't know how they would do it without giving away their position. I may not be thinking out of the box enough though.

storm should be able to affect the air/atmosphere within her forcefield... and no sue would not solo...
I really don't see how this could go the x-men's way. Couldn't sue just cloak Johnny while he just rockets into Storm and Cyke...or just y'know create a bubble inside their brains and kill em

That or crush them the way she did Taskmaster.
Problem w/ this battle IMO: note IMO:
storm and cyclops got morals and aren't blood lusted
cyclops starts insanely far from the battle ... 5 miles is good for storm but horrible for cyclops.
No way a morals on storm and cyclops are winning no matter what the distance. Morals off ... maybe.
There is a way for them to win but based on OP ... no way.

Depends on Cyke's strategy but more than likely the FF take this relatively easily
Run 5 miles to the battle scene ... awesome strategy.

I was referring to setting up an ambush based on the X-men's superior knowledge of the savage land
Would be amazing to see to be honest.
But, how do they deal with Johnny Or Sue?
I mean, Ben will take a while to put down, but he WILL eventually be put down by a lightning bolt or enough optic blasts.
Sue can batter Storm with forcefields until she's unconcious, which realistically shouldn't be too long.
Johnny is more than enough to distract Cyclops from helping Storm, and in the time he also has to deal with Reed and Ben. Reed can subdue Scott, or Ben could KO him.
Basically FF win. but if written well would be a great battle.
I think this has a chance to go either way and that the mutants have some advantages here due to the starting distance. Storm and Cyclops are skilled tacticians and strategists. They are not going to go into a head on battle with the FF like a couple of noobs :-/. As already mentioned, they have knowledge of the battlefield (i.e. - best areas for an ambush attack or set traps), and have the attack range and stealth advantage with Storm (i.e. - peasoup fog to hide her and Cyclops but can still sense the other teams movement through the air).
Storm could EASILY solo this match, with Cyclops being overkill. She BFR Reed and Thing with F5 winds. Lightning is enough to take Thing out. Johnny needs oxygen for his flames to function, Storm simply removes oxygen from around him and his powers are negated. Sue is the only true threat. It goes to who can respond the fastest and Storm power has been shown to work in a blink of an eye. Since the battle starts so far away, the fight is more in Storm's favor. If she manages to get a shield up before Storm gets a bolt to her, Storm can still use her power within Sue's field. She can instantly remove the oxygen from Sue for an instant KO.
With Cyke this match is pushed even more in the favor of the first Team. So Storm and cyke for the win.
hmm I think the F4 due to Sue, I mean can't she just make the platform invisible and just take them out
Storm and Cyclops has an edge because of the 5 mile range. Storm has long range attacks. She doesn't need to see the target to hit the target. At the same time, Storm can sense the location of each member of the fantastic four so they can always keep a distance from them. If Storm can summon a lightning without seeing them, then I believe Storm can also take out the oxygen where the fantastic four are located. besides, it'll be difficult for Sue to handle a tornado or hurricane that will spin her bubble round and round.

Theirs no reason to assume Storm can affect anything withing the bubble, considering the fact that its been shown preventing transmutation and telepathy/telekinesis (from Jean Grey). And i did not say that Sue solo's. I said at a push you could argue she solos. Which is true, so i don't know why your brought that up.
