Steven Spielberg vs James Cameron

Spielberg stomps

God, this one's so tough. Steven Spielberg is my all-time favorite director, followed closely by Cameron.

You missed Aliens and The Abyss from Cameron's work, which are great.

Listing Spielberg's work is so tough too. Saving Private Ryan is a movie that is so influential to movies, television, video games, even comics. But that can be said of ET and Close Encounters of the Third kind too.

But then again the sci-fi flicks from Cameron are possibly as influential.

Tough one indeed. But yeah, in the end it is Spielberg for me.

Spielberg got 2 on Schindler's List and 1 saving Private Ryan

they've written about the same number of films, but Steven directed twice as much and produced even more

yet same number of Oscars

Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Austin Powers, etc.

And I hate titanic

James Cameron wrote and directed Terminator 1 and 2 (my favorite) Aliens, and The Abyss that takes it for me. But Spielberg a very close second.

And I don't even care who directed Austin Powers, but it wasn't Spielberg.

@mrnoital: I'll give you that since it is totally true. However Cameron has created way better scripts than Titanic, and he got awarded for it, instead of T2 or Aliens which are both way better movies than Titanic.

Cameron stomps, Steven's movies are sub-par.

Current? Cameron Stomps, Steve fell off. All Feats taken into account and they are in their prime. Steven dwarfs him by far.
